Ordered this tig rig that has heat adjustments on the torch head.
My thermal arc 252i welder is very complex, and a standard rig that you reverse the polarity on, the heat would fluctuate 10-15 volts.
It didn't come with a gas lens, so I ordered one that will work with this rig.
Super pumped to try this one out!

Esab is the ****! I just wish I could tig weld. Mig,arc, solder copper (sweat) I can do all that. I guess it’s cause the friggin gas is so expensive here to experiment with.
One of my hobbies is building bbq smokers

Yeah only thing that my machine doesn't have, is the ability to do aluminum. Which isn't a problem, since nothing I fab is made of aluminum. Need high frequency for aluminum.

If I bought the adapter for aluminum I could weld it. But for the money and building smokers working on cars mud buggies n such. I’ll stick n mig (flux core) all day.
I weld anywhere from 1/16th to 1/2” consistently.

The machine itself has to be high frequency. Mine is a 300 amp mig/stick/tig combo. Holds a 33lb spool of solid wire. Last shop I worked at, I was running 1/16" wire at 280V.
Tig welding allows better control, and penetration that mig can not accomplish. Especially on .120 wall dom tubing, or my 3/8" 1 7/8" OD dom that has 3/8" tubing.
