Global down worked for me but global up didn't. I also got vta working. Didn't think about how loud it would be when I tested the alarm haha.

I also have an odd issue now. I changed the special vehicle to limited which worked great. But I wanted to check out off road vehicle which is the rebel screen. Nothing shows in the evic when I start my truck now. I took a trip to the store between settings too. And I just now changed it back to limited but it still isn't showing any logo. Hopefully that will correct itself.

As for LED settings and canbus errors...

I changed all of my led light settings back to no. I also changed all of the open circuit dtc enable back to yes. (Factory settings)

Right before I started typing this I changed rear lighting dtc disabled to yes.
I am hoping this will remove the reverse light errors. Still not sure of any other options for the front park lights.

As far as the logo on evic. When I tried SRT in special packages it went blank on me too. I ended up having to go back to Ram 1500, letting that take then going back to what I wanted. In both special packages btw.

I know you just got your remote start finished up. Do you remember if the logo shows when you remote start the truck and then insert the key? I only remember seeing the bighorn logo a few times. Probably because I remote start it 99% of the time. Or I am just not paying attention?

Thanks again for all of the information and the testing you have put into this. Even if I can't figure out my light errors, this is still one of the best things I have bought for my truck.

How were you able to correct the formatting issues uploading to Google drive? I tried to look back through the thread but I might have glanced over it if you mentioned it.

Not sure if it shows up on remote start but it does show up when I put the fob in and turn to run.

No worries, hopefully you’ll get it straightened out and I agree with you dollar for dollar this ranks up there pretty high.

No, I stopped messing with Notepad++. Couldn’t quite figure out why when I saved it as txt it still came out looking like one big mess and gave up. I use cntrl f to search for things I’m looking all the time anyway. Lol

The srt logo took about 1 hr to show for me.

The google file format is dumped as rich text it's weird some programs that open the file will break it up into paragraphs and some just reads as data dump. I just used a diff program to view it. Like if you did google preview it will break it into paragraphs but if you downloaded and opened the file it's just datadump

Ghost_Ram...I see you and several others have changed the "screen" logo? I have an SLT. Was wondering about changing my logo to Laramie or Laramie Limited. There are several settings, do I do all of Laramie ones? And does this change only effect the start up screen? Or is there more changes on the screen / evic?

I have had Laramie and Limited working and have had to select then in both special packages. I think some have not had to though. I have only see it change the evic boot screen. The only setting I have seen change the 8.4 is the "vehicle is an SRT".

Guys dont try to hard over loading a different logo screen, you see it for literally 1.5 secs - it gives no added features - nor turns on anything that was previously hidden.

Its just cool - but the coolness factor wore off real quick, like my friends now are like **** who cares about your dumb screen stop telling and showing everyone this, WE DONT CARE.

Thanks for your answer. I was wondering exactly what you posted: Do I get added features from telling the BCM I have a higher trim level? So not so enticing to change it, like you mention it lasts all of 1-2 seconds. On to another idea........

It may give different background images like the 8.4 but I am not sure about that. I also thought the background are already preloaded into them, like I can already run the brown longhorn theme without any changes from the alfaobd.

There is no special fob for VTA it just sets the alarm with lock and disarms with unlock. If tampered with by opening door without the fob then the horn will blaze.

Also, to answer your second part. Yes, you can just set the VTA without having the remote start. If that is what you meant? I included both ways in the list. You can check the other settings without changing them to see what all is actually enabled. Also via your log info.

What do I need to enable for VTA?
I seen there is lie 2 or 3 VTA settings.

Check the link in my sig. Takes you to a folder with the list. At the bottom there are two ways, one with remote start installed and the other without. You can check as you go through the list looking at the settings for each to see what is enabled and disabled. The only one I selected before I installed my remote start was "VTA System Present".

I personally would not change any of the others as this is one of the settings that has caused some to have to have their BCM flashed if I'm not mistaken when using the AE Tool.

Did you try to get the performance pages to show up? I'm curious about that one. I would try myself but the damn dealer has had my truck for the past week (Shakes fist)

To my knowledge they haven’t worked for anyone. Someone, forgive me I forgot who mentioned it won’t work if uconnect has been added? Or something along those lines.

I wonder if you can turn on SRT on a charger and get the SRT apps, I dont think ram has SRT apps at all for the truck.

With all of your guy's help, sadly I am at the point that I need the PIN number for my truck. Not looking forward to visiting a dealer and asking about it. I can just imagine the look on their faces at that request.

No reason to worry. It’s YOUR PIN number. One of the first things I did when I took delivery of my truck was got the truck and radio PIN numbers...no questions asked. And, just go straight to the parts department. They are the ones that give the number to you, so don’t even bother asking a salesman or a service rep.
