Ok I did confirm that alfa was able to program all my fobs using the baseline setting.

So i now have the two original fobs and 1 replacement fob.

RKE = Remote Keyless Entry
SKIM = Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (which I believe is coded keys that wont allow the truck to start unless it senses the correct code in your key...essentially "transponder" keys)

Lawsuit....do you have keyless / pushbutton start? Trying to understand how this would be done with the proximity FOBIK where you do not stick the key in the ignition. I would think the steps to program the FOBIK are different?

The only difference is you will set the keys by the radio or on your center console so the 2 RF antennas can search the truck for the proximity keys. In Alfa it tells you what to do. But if you have the tip keys you just put the key in the ignition leaving it in the lock position and click start

Lawsuit....THANKS!......I do not have my Ram hooked up to the Alpha program right now, but I guess my only question is that with the tip keys you put it in the ignition and in the "lock" position. With the keyless FOBIK what position do you put the pushbutton in? ACC or RUN? Or ?

A little walk through of how to program FOBIKs

First turn you truck on to accessory.(I always do this to connect to the RF Hub)


Select Radio frequency hub(RFH)
In the drop down select Radio frequency hub(this is the only option to select here)


Connect to the RF Hub


Once you’re connected. Locate the Car with the hood up on the bottom right hand corner. Click on it


Click on the drop down menu. Almost all the way at the bottom select - Program Ignition FOBIKs Baseline system

At this point turn your key to the Lock Position(turn the truck off) and remove the key from the ignition


Place the FOBIK(Key) you’re wanting to program in the ignition and leave it in the off position

Enter you 4 digit pin provided by your local dealership


Click Start. Your screen should look something like this!


Once the process is complete you will see Procesure complete in blue. Please note the above dialogue box will say “FOBIK successfully paired” I think lol

If a key is already Paired to your truck. You will get the Failure error. “Failure FOBIK already learned”

Now start you truck up to make sure it was successfully paired!

This is a complete guess but with Tip Keys the truck actually has to be off for the RF Hub to program your keys. So I would assume it is the same

I was never able to program the spare FOBIK (push button start) for my truck, using Alfa or my Autel. Both units said fob not found or similar.

We were just discussing this earlier and there may be someone attempting it soon. Granted it was the same truck but the hub was changed. So it would still be reprogramming the fob.

I was trying to find one on eBay that was used to try it or to find someone that has one lol.

I can confirm that an already programmed fob to another vehicle(Ram), CANNOT be reprogrammed to another vehicle.
I have a fob to another vehicle, and I followed Lawsuit11 steps this evening, and it would always state program failed! I than put my fob into the ignition and tried it, and it stated already programmed.

So I am waiting on a new one from Amazon!

Well just to confirm 2018 Ram 2500 was able to change tire size for my 37's. When going to change tire size there is a block to manually add the circumference in mm, below all the preset tire sizes.

After changing that and cycling the key, my cluster lit up like a christmas tree. I went to the ABS module, and used one the drop downs that I could connect to was not one of the Ram ones but it was the only one I could connect to. Followed the ABS initialize steps, which has you initialize ECU, then clear DTC's, then rolling logs.

Had to clear codes in the ABS module, BCM and Engine. Another key cycle and lights all cleared. And speedo was changed successfully.

This was done on the android version, with the MX bluetooth reader and a bypass for the 2018

Will work on a write up, as I had to do it a couple times to get the right circumference numbers.
