Found them set "yes". I have no clue what the diference in on location though..... CBC or DCM? I know it's in the aftermarket mirrirs drivers side
So it was set to yes or you set it to yes? Read my post above yours.

Edit: I’ve looked through a few of the BCM config in the shared folder and none of them have it as being set or defined.

If I recall correctly from the last time I saw this come up it refers to the electrical location, not the physical location. I believe CBC = Body Control Module, the sensor being physically up by the grill and DCM = Door Control Module, the sensor being physically in the mirror. But for our trucks, it should be "Undefined"

Huge thanks to everyone here! I think the key word was "log".... Keep a log! I thought I only changed the tow mirror function but apparently I felt I needed to change the ambient temp sensor to yes since the aftermarket mirrors had it. Man, when the temp disappeared from the uconnect and the seats started venting at 40 out I freaked out!

See my 2015 was totaled by valet parking and I really wanted to get another 2500 before the body changes from 18 to 19 so I went inventory searching. I found exactly what I wanted in this truck except the tow mirrors. I actually made 2 eight hour trips from here to get it. The first trip I was informed by the dealer I could not have the tow mirrors as my truck did not have the right "sales codes". After much research and you guys especially I knew it would not be a problem. It just took a little time to pull it together.

A big thanks to Michael for the bypass and to the Alfa OBD programmer for the software. Especially to you guys for the knowledge and help even though I'm green as can be! (I come from the brick 2500 days lol).

Last night I attempted to update my TPMS threshold. When I tried updating the RFHUb i kept receiving a failed message. Security Access denied. I'm assuming this is because my dealer either gave me the wrong code or transposed it when they wrote it down?

After that failed I tried to turn my TPMS system into TPIS, which I did successfully by turn basic and Premium TPMS off and enabling Non Regulated TPIS. This changed the screen in my EVIC to not show the low pressure light, but the low tire pressure symbol still remains. I am guessing this is because the change from TPMS to TPIS also requires an RFHUB reset?

I see that your profile says you have a 2018. Do you have the required Security Bypass Harness that the 2018's need?

Yes, I forgot to mention that. I do have the security bypass harness in place. I initially thought I may have a problem with the harness, but to my understanding I could make no changes at all without the bypass harness so that leads me to believe it is working correctly

I believe your assumptions might be correct. Do you have another dealer nearby? Also, are you using the MX?

Yes I am using the MX adapter, and the windows version of Alfa on my Surface Pro. I don't have another dealer close, but I am going to swing by the same dealer today and verify the PIN they gave me.

On just left the dealership and re verified my PIN and it is correct. But I keep getting the security access denied. Any tips?

It says Programmed FOBIKs must be inside vehicle.... I do have an extra key, so does that mean I need to have both my keys in range in order to perform the reset?

schaef.....you only need one FOBIK in the vehicle. Some quick questions......you have the ignition in the RUN position with the engine OFF when attempting this? The other question is what PIN number did the dealer give you.....just a four digit pin all numbers OR a pin number made of 4 digits PLUS a letter?

Yes, Ignition in the run position with engine off. The code the dealer gave me is 4 digits consisting of numbers only.

It would be nice if you had an extra key fob you could try to program. That would tell you if the Pin# was correct or not. Did you have a factory remote start added after you bought your truck? I ask because the RFH is replaced when that is done and it has a different pin#. Maybe you pin# somehow wasn't updated in the system? I'm not even sure if that's possible but just throwing out some ideas.

I had to go back a page to confirm your issue which is changing TPMS values. I think someone reported (maybe Ghost_RAM) that there might be issues connecting to the RF hub when using the Windows version of the program. Make sure you have the newest version and/or shoot an email to the dev.

Is there a lock out if you try too many PINs?

Because 4 digits (unless its alphanumeric) is only 10000 combinations :)

This could be where the problem lies. I do have the latest version of the program, as I just downloaded it on Sunday. Maybe a quick email to the developer will shed some light on the issue.

I just bought this pickup at the end of October new off the lot, it’s a Laramie with factory remote start so I don’t think it would have had the RFH replaced but who’s knows

Yes then that is definitely most likely not your issue. I am just trying to think of reasons that could explain why the Pin# doesn't seem to be working.
