Does anyone know if the wiring is in place for the cargo camera?

Also, with alfa can we set the tow/haul and engine brake to come on automatically when a trailer is detected? Engine brake stays on as long as you don't disconnect I know but you have to turn it on manually the first time. Tow haul you have to turn in every time you start the engine.

Waiting on my harness and obdmx to arrive. Getting a list of mods ready to go!

Thanks

You can set it up like the 3500's, I believe its the base TPMS system vs the premium. Look back some pages it was mentioned recently

Searched previous 20 and didn’t find anything except for one user who tried it but still couldn’t get rid of tpms light on dash

Also if you purchase the android version of the app there is a discounted price For buying both platforms. Email Alexey and he will send you the apk link and you will have to download and provide him with your PayPal receipt and your activation code from the android app. Think it was only $25 for the android after paying full price for the windows version.

FYI I was able to convert from TPMS to TPIS

Body Control Module>

Car Config Change>

Base TPM System Present > NO

Premium TPM System Present> NO

Non Regulated Tire Pressure Information System Present > YES

Then Updated/Reset the RF HUB with the 4 digit PIN and No warning light

The tire pressure display in the evic now looks exactly the same as it did in my 2016 3500. No message to set tires to a certain pressure

Interesting. I was wondering if that setting was to keep both DRLs illuminated when the turn signals were active. As it is, when I turn on my turn signal, the DRL on the side I am signaling will turn off until the turn signal cancels, at which point the DRL will re-illuminate. I'm guessing that is a native function to DRLs, then?

I believe (certainly I've noticed it here in NY) that the DRL HAS to drop out while the signal is active on the same side; I know that is how any vehicle, at least with factory-enabled DRLs, works regardless of the manufacturer and/or DRL location. It's a safety feature to ensure the signal stands out as being active.

Here's what I
think is the applicable text of the Federal DOT regulations, under Title 49: Transportation.

"PART 393—PARTS AND ACCESSORIES NECESSARY FOR SAFE OPERATION:

§393.22 Combination of lighting devices and reflectors.

(a) Permitted combinations. Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, two or more lighting devices and reflectors (whether or not required by the rules in this part) may be combined optically if—

(1) Each required lighting device and reflector conforms to the applicable rules in this part; and

(2) Neither the mounting nor the use of a nonrequired lighting device or reflector impairs the effectiveness of a required lighting device or reflector or causes that device or reflector to be inconsistent with the applicable rules in this part.

(b) Prohibited combinations.
(1) A turn signal lamp must not be combined optically with either a head lamp or other lighting device or combination of lighting devices that produces a greater intensity of light than the turn signal lamp.

(2) A turn signal lamp must not be combined optically with a stop lamp unless the stop lamp function is always deactivated when the turn signal function is activated.

(3) A clearance lamp must not be combined optically with a tail lamp or identification lamp.

Well I don't think that's entirely true. I don't think a DRL HAS to drop out because I owned a 2015 GMC Sierra SLT that had DRL as all GM product do. When the turn signal was applied the DRL didn't drop out.

I think all manufactures started making them drop out to make it easier for drivers to see turn signals.

Pick body control module
My13-17
Then go to advanced
Change com port to 2/3/4 or until it works. All depends on what your Bluetooth on your computer is set up for

Mine works best on COM3
Also if you go to post one. Ghost has a walk through for the COM port with pictures

Thanks for that, must be a PC problem as the OBDMX showed paired and when I unpaired it to reconnect it. the PC can't find it. I know the OBDMX is working because everything but my PC shows it as available for pairing. I have the Android working so I'll try after the holiday.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.

I had the same issue. You have to just keep trying the different com ports. Also look on the first page and it has Windows set up instructions.

OK so I found and reset my bluetooth part of the PC system and now like Lawsuit11 said I'm on COM3 and it should be good BUT. The new issue is when I click connect button the PC just freezes (4 times so far). I made sure that I could go into the OBDMX itself and there were no problems there. I went to the Alfaobd app, checked the version and clicked repair and still have the same PC lockup problem. Did anyone else ever experience this? If I were to do a complete uninstall and try to reinstall would the same activation code still work?

For anyone who has done the "U05 AutoPark Functionality" recall, can this be reversed with AlfaOBD? I don't want the truck to automatically go into park if the door is opened.

Yes I had the same issues. It was still the com issue. Keep trying ports until you find the one it is on.

Funny I emailed (and just got a reply) from the AlfaOBD dev. He doesnt know for sure and suggested users with and without AutoPark dump the BCM settings and compare.

So far I havent found anything in the BCM settings that looks like AutoPark. There is actually an AutoPark setting but I think it is meant for automatic parking brake (release, perhaps), not applicable to our trucks.

I dont know if a setting gets added to the BCM with the U05 update, or if maybe there are hidden settings in the BCM (or elsewhere) that Alfa cant access or doesnt yet know about.
