Rams do if they are optioned with the correct mirrors, usually the chrome back style. You can retro fit if you have the correct wiring installed from the factory. There are numerous threads where it has been tried, but in a nutshell this is the general consensus.

They will *tilt in reverse* but there are no RAMs that will auto fold

(by auto fold Im assuming @bhiii meant fold close when truck is turned off and back open when truck is turned on)

Yeah it’s on my paps Laramie. I’ll do a search of the whole forum instead of just this post. Thanks.

Yeah that’s what I meant.

Is there a thread on this subject confirming that it indeed doesn’t work? Not saying you’re wrong, just wondering.

Yeah, it’s been tried to death. Like Chris said, it’s earlier in this thread.

Police Lighting Feature.

We tried this on a Charger. It made the thumb wheel blackout the dash with the DIC very dimmed. Nice at night to avoid the cluster face blast if you touch anything.
But....... it killed the trunk lid button, and the electric door lock switches. Possibly more. Perhaps a bug or standard police security.
Tazer has a feature called "Set Full Off" that does the thumb wheel cluster blackout only.

Anyone else have the same experiences? I have a message to AlfaODB for possible tweaks.

Tazer can do a bunch of stuff that isn't a factory feature because it's module stays plugged in to read data over the CAN bus and interact with modules in response to that data. It therefore is able to add features by having if then operations within it's mini computer module. Alfa only gives you access to the factory available items as it doesn't live interact the way the Tazer module does. The Tazer module is basically exploiting some of the diagnostic controls that exist in the modules for testing various functions.

This.

That's why Im not a fan of how it works. Hate having to leave it plugged in for the functions that the truck really cant do (auto mirror fold and global window UP). As much as I like adding things the truck didnt come with, there is a line at some point....who knows if the Tazer will ever damage something (probably not) but it could suck down the battery, etc.

Does anyone know, though, if Alfa can enable "ding fix" mode? Body shop guy looked at me like I had 8 heads when I said I wanted it fixed, but *I* know its there so it bothers me!

Tried searching but any way to reset the limp mode counter with Alfa?

I have a P208A code that cant be cleared (possibly frozen DEF as we are in a cold spell). I would like to reset the counter until it warms up a bit to verify if its frozen DEF or a bad pump.

Thanks.

Doubt it. I don’t see anything like that. That fault is an open circuit, so frozen or bad def wouldn’t have anything to do with it. Bad connection or wire leading up to the pump or electrical fault in the pump itself.

We began getting random DTC's upon connecting the ODBLink MX, B167F, B1707, to name a couple, we did move the DRL's to the turn signals but nothing to do with fogs or reverse lamps.
We reversed them and eventually everything back to stock but still get them.

So now its like this, Plug in the MX, see the engine light, read the fault, clear the fault (the engine light remains), make the change(s) successfully, key off, pull MX, open and close the door, wait a minute or two, key on to see successful changes and codes & engine light gone.

I reported to Scantool and they are replacing it with an MX+. Not sure why the move to the + and haven't asked yet. But customer service has been prompt and without hassle.

I have done several trucks with the MX with no issues DTC codes or check engine lights and also activated several DRL's. Not sure what's going on in your case but its the first time I have heard of it having a problem. To the best of my knowledge the MX+ is just the version that is IOS compatible.

It may be that something is defective in the device and they decided to send the MX+ because it is the newest version.

So I’m having a hard time figuring out how to get to the area I need to turn change the DRL lamps. First off what function do I select? Body Computer?

So I need to let the truck sleep right? Do I need to leave the OBDLink plugged in while it sleeps? How long?

No you don't have to keep it plugged in. The drl's should work almost instantly. For the setting to show up in the radio may take up to 24 hour's. Mine showed up within 10 minutes.
