There were a few sets on Facebook in the last few months. While they didnt specifically say memory, I asked for pics of the wiring harnesses and it looked like they all had the required wire count to be memory capable. I personally think FCA uses a lot of the same mirror, but just doesnt enable memory mirrors on the trucks that dont also have memory seats.

I got a good deal on a set of basically brand new chrome ones. Was worried I wouldnt like the chrome, but on my mostly stock Big Horn I think they actually look really good (much better than the black textured). My truck isnt lifted but the tilt does come in very handy. And oddly enough it works better in our trucks than my wifes Lexus - only one of her mirrors will tilt but both of ours do.
Every Sport mirror I found didn't have the correct wiring. I think there is a good chance that the later years are more likely to have memory capable mirrors since they started offering the Laramie with the Sport appearance package. Like you mentioned it would seem they wouldn't produce that many variances of the mirror and some non memory trucks such as the newer Sports and the Harvest Bighorn could actually have memory mirrors. It's strange that FCA didn't just include the tilt in reverse with the Harvest addition since all they would have to do is turn on the code. Probably an oversight I'm assuming.

Yeah I would have to get those paint matched to my truck. Don't think painted black would look good with my max steel color?
I just did some searching on google and it looks like all the 2500 Harvest tow mirrors are chrome just like the limited.
These mirrors are ridiculously expensive, hard to justify that cost just to get the tilt ...but I want it :)
.

They appear to be out of stock right now, but you could always get the Trail Ridge ones.

I've got the one-step down (no memory) ones and you can't tell the difference from OEM. If AlphaOBD had been around when I bought mine I'd have paid the extra $100 for the memory ones just to have the tilt.

Yeah I thought it was odd, too. They even put a note in the "Pocket Guide" regarding the mirrors on Harvest Edition:

"— Power, heated, puddle, turn, memory, power folding (chrome; included with Harvest Edition Package excluding memory feature)"

Im guessing their BCMs come flashed for certain configurations so they wont bother having a one-off config for harvest edition that has auto tilt enabled but not memory seats, pedals, etc. I was looking up mirror part numbers left and right and when I found them I thought it was bs because the driver mirror part number came back to something that is $175 brand new (the passenger part number was still $500+). Benny confirmed for me it was correct and should have all the features so I took a chance and sure enough they did.

I'll keep an eye out for those. Wonder why the big mirror shortage? They are out of stock everywhere!

I really wish they made an all black tow mirror with that functionality. I would really like the tilt down function but hate the chrome mirrors (and the price of course).

.
Trail ridge makes a set like what you want. Also, the 2500/3500 trucks with SAP/BAP package come with black tow mirrors with those options.

This is a common issue with those radios and it's a software glitch. I know 2 other people that have the same truck with the same issue and it is very annoying. Best thing I can recommend is take it to the dealer and tell them the issue. they should be aware of it. I heard someone say they had a firmware update available but I'm not sure if that's accurate. If they don't at least you will have made note of it. There is actually a complete thread on this somewhere on the forum with a lot of very angry people. The latest forced firmware update caused a lot of problems including the voice volume control plus ruined the sound quality of the radios. Supposedly Chrysler has been working on a fix for several months because they have had do many complaints.

2019 classic with 8.4” screen no nav. I turn the volume down every time she talks and it doesn’t stay the next key turn. If it even stays to the next message.

I know the non-tow mirrors can be taken apart and the "caps" can be removed. Not sure about the tow mirrors, though. The problem seems to be getting the glass off and back on without breaking it.

I would look for a set regardless of color and then have a shop wrap them in whatever color you want vinyl.
Thats what I did on my Laramie folding mirrors. (Disassembled and swapped the caps with a non power fold set.).

AH yes, thank you. Will do. I was wondering if there was a thread for this as that would be a better place to discuss. As my last note, the volume is good/saved via car play (wired usb) and does NOT stay when using bluetooth. Using an iphone. Did this on both my iphones, 7 and xs.

Any tips on getting the glass out without breaking it?
I need to do a thread for this (with standard power fold mirrors). I've got pictures I can email you along with some notes... Message me your email and I will send it your way.
Biggest issue on my 18 Laramie, was the driver's side glass attached one way ) tilted or from the top) and the passenger side glass attached a different way (req'd screwdriver inserted at correct spot to pop loose) so if don't adjust/ look behind the glass before you start you will break one thinking it comes out the same as the other.

Motor City Mechanic has a video for getting the glass/puddle lights out of the tow mirrors. Then dissasembly is pretty straightforward.

Anyone else’s dealer tell them they could only get 5 key codes a day?

This was after my dealer told me he couldn’t get me the key code at all because Dodge said they couldn’t give them out to us. I promptly went down there with the page from dealer manual printed out.....changed his tune then.

Refer to the first post in this thread. It will give you all the directions for known working codes.

For anyone attempting to add a key to their vehicle using the PC based version... don't.

I had no original key, and I refused to spend $300 at the local stealership + a tow for a replacement... my local thief (locksmith) quoted me $200 just to program my $18 amazon key. So I took this challenge upon myself. I spent HOURS reading this thread, and followed the instructions I found to a "T". After asking my local stealership for the pin, they told me I couldn't have it. To save myself any more aggravation I took this alternate route:

I used the OBD LINK MX ($69) + CHRYSLER PIN PULLER APP ($15) ((available only on the google play store))...

After 2 hours of getting nowhere fast, I was met with an error message: "ACCESS DENIED INCORRECT PIN", so I decided to take my troubleshooting even further. I rebooted, retried, and even updated the ALFAOBD software to the most current version available on PC. And yet... the same error message appeared.

Lastly, I decided to purchase another copy of the ALFAOBD APP from the google play store ($50).

Took 3 seconds, and Immediate success.

Fortunately, this disaster/success story only cost me a total of $28.

Moral to the story: DONT BOTHER PROGRAMMING YOUR KEY WITH THE PC BASED VERSION OF ALFAOBD, IT WILL NOT WORK. oh... and don't let any service tech, parts counter employee, locksmith or anyone take your money.

So recently took my truck to fix some recalls and just realized that when I turn my highbeams on, my lowbeams turn off my fog light stay on but the lowbeams turn off. Im guessing it started because of the recalls/pcm update, I might of changed it but not entirely sure? Anyway to fix this with alfaobd?

Fortunately, I was able to return the second copy of the ALFAOBD on the play store, and the OBDLINK MX to amazon... so this disaster/success story only cost me a total of $28.

So you used the software and OBDLink to get what you wanted and returned them? If it were me (and it wouldn't be) I wouldn't tell anybody.
