Every Sport mirror I found didn't have the correct wiring. I think there is a good chance that the later years are more likely to have memory capable mirrors since they started offering the Laramie with the Sport appearance package. Like you mentioned it would seem they wouldn't produce that many variances of the mirror and some non memory trucks such as the newer Sports and the Harvest Bighorn could actually have memory mirrors. It's strange that FCA didn't just include the tilt in reverse with the Harvest addition since all they would have to do is turn on the code. Probably an oversight I'm assuming. There were a few sets on Facebook in the last few months. While they didnt specifically say memory, I asked for pics of the wiring harnesses and it looked like they all had the required wire count to be memory capable. I personally think FCA uses a lot of the same mirror, but just doesnt enable memory mirrors on the trucks that dont also have memory seats.
I got a good deal on a set of basically brand new chrome ones. Was worried I wouldnt like the chrome, but on my mostly stock Big Horn I think they actually look really good (much better than the black textured). My truck isnt lifted but the tilt does come in very handy. And oddly enough it works better in our trucks than my wifes Lexus - only one of her mirrors will tilt but both of ours do.
