AlphaOBD Question

Hey everyone, I have a ‘19 Classic and my truck came with the 8.4” faceplate with the standard 6 speaker stereo (non alpine). I just bought the factory subwoofer (mounts under back seat), plugged it in and it’s not working. My question is, will an alphaobd work with my year truck, and it’s there a setting to unlock and sync the sub to my current sent up. The sub came with the alpine options but I feel like it should still work because the truck was wired for the sub from the factory. Any help would be great! -Andrew

You'll need the factory amplifier as well, might need to change some wiring around as well. AlfaOBD can change the settings of the truck to read the amplifier.

I would use an aftermarket amplifier for it. It's not plug and play if your truck didn't have the Alpine system.

I would also replace the OEM sub itself with something else.

Yeah, not that simple. You would need to add the factory amp, re wire everything etc. Much better off going with an aftermarket amp.

Yes, You'll need one that accepts line level inputs and of course splice it all in (or get a harness to break out the lines), nothing is going to be plug and play if that is what you are looking for
