I'm curious what others think that have had both? My 22 Laramie had the 8-in screen with the nine speaker Alpine. My new 25 has the 14-in with the 19 speaker HK.

I got to say so far I am very much regretting the level two equipment group and wishing I would have stuck with the 12-in and the Alpine system.

The Alpine wasn't perfect by any stretch but this HK system feels like there's so much missing from the sound. Very little bass and what seems like lots of missing areas from the sound spectrum. Just sounds like an overall downgrade thus far no matter how I adjust.

Let me ease your mind... I chose the Alpine in my 2024 and regret not getting the Limited Level 1 with the HK system.

The Alpine in the newer trucks SUCKS compared to the Alpine in my 2014. Not even close.
See the other thread I just replied to... changing speakers now. Going to Infinity Reference (Harmon) seems to be the ticket.

I have the 18 with the alpine and the 23 with the harmon kardon and i agree the alpine is much louder and just sounds better

I'm having issues with the HK 19 speaker system in my 26 RHO. Absolutely no bass in the entire system. It is so bad I questioned whether or not it had a sub and it did and the only sign of life is that it vibrates a little and none of the other speakers have any bass. I contacted the dealer and they said I wasn't the only one with the issue and that Ram said tough luck if the speaker is vibrating its working. I still have to call them and talk to them because this is unacceptable.

Have to wonder if the vehicle ANC is defeating the sound within the vehicle, there were issues with this system causing thumping sounds back when the Gen5 platform launched.

I noticed that is you replace or add amps and DSPs you will lose the noise canceling but at this point I wonder if that isn't a fair trade.

That's sad... The Alpine is not the Alpine of previous trucks. Now it sounds like the HK system suffers from the same.

I replaced all dash and door speakers with Infinity Reference. I kept the stock amp. You have reverse polarity on the door speakers so that the ANC works right. Sounds like a lot of work, but it was SO much easier than I thought.

The sound is night and day difference. The stock speakers are Chinese JUNK. Cost me about $550 from Crutchfield.

Now... I still think (at times) it sounds brassy or tinny - the highs are too sharp. Maybe that's the speakers I selected? Or the fact that I put 3-ways in the rear door instead of 2-way.

I actually think that the ANC and/or the Amp is effing up the sound. It's hard to explain. Sometimes the sound is "rich" while other times it's missing something. I listen to Sirius almost all of the time. I truly think they have idiots in India programming this $hit. Sometimes it sounds like the Amp is "toning" the music like a phone call, instead of music. Just my 2 cents.

I have a Limited. I often regret not getting the Level 1 package - I'm missing a bunch of stuff that should be on a Limited (wireless charging pad, parking sensors and surround view camera) just to name a few. That would have included the HK system.

Good luck.
