No special tools required, although swivel sockets are a big help. Mine was done with a lift so can't comment on how difficult it would have been otherwise. Dipstick tube was the only install issue, needs to be tweaked a bit to fit around the headers.

Is the title a typo? Is it 1 7/8's? I didn't know they made 1 3/8's

Mine were 1 3/4, don't think they even come in other sizes.

ARH LT Headers for 6.4 are 1 3/4. There are other brands that offer 1 7/8, but I believe they would be more for full out racing use. I did my install on the ground on a creeper as my lift is the old style with lift arms in the way of exhaust system. Most useful tip/tool 10mm rachet wrench and allot of patience. Dito on the dip stick tweak "viking".

I've heard the figure 25-30hp gain after your tune has been adjusted for the headers. I have not seen any dyno results however. Most everyone that has had them installed has reported a noticeable difference(seat of the pants)

According to ARH:
an ARH header system is exactly what you need to increase torque up to 30 ft. lbs. and Rear Wheel HP up 25 (before tuning).

Add tuning and it looks like some pretty good numbers can be achieved

I have jay Greene tuning and ARH catless headers. Truck runs way better than stock for sure.

Regular WD-40 is NOT penetrating oil.

WD-40 makes penetrating oil. But it's not in the familiar blue and yellow can.
