This may be a stupid question, so don't laugh too hard. I've been researching amp/sub connections. In reading about the SRAMCQ09, it looks like they just tap the front left speaker line. would it be wrong to assume if I got an aftermarket amp for a sub all I would have to do is tap one speaker lead for the signal? The one time I ever did an full aftermarket system I tapped both L/R for the signal. If that's the case, tapping the front speaker lead where they detail it will be super easy for any sub/amp combo install.

I'm not sure any of the speakers in the Alpine system get a full range signal. Unless you tapped a signal line to the sub I'd wager you were S.O.L.

I tapped mine from both right and left door speakers with a loc when I first put subs in my truck.

I believe you are right. The example I gave was for the Kicker SRAM, and after reading further it seems they have some tech that doubles the one speaker signal to give the amp the appearance of a 2 speaker signal.
