I have had my scopes locked onto the roll n lock cover but recently saw the picture where it does not line up perfectly on our trucks like it does on the tundra. With that in mind I have been recently pondering the back flip. So the question...
For those with the back flip, does it ever get annoying not having immediate and easy access to the bed? I use mine all the time for landscaping, house crap, mountain bikes, duck hunting and scuba diving and like the easy roll away features of the roll n lock. Is it worth spending the bucks on that cover when it doesn't even line up or am I over thinking the back flips functionality?

As always
Thanks guys

I have a bakflip vp and love it. If you wanted something that rolls, locks, and acts like a hard top the. Look at the roll-x from bakflip.

I also have the BakFlip VP and you can open or close it in 10 seconds. The thing that sold me on the BakFlip was that it fully opens for full use of the bed. The roll up covers take up bed space when open.

Thank you for the input.:head3: I will look more into the back flip and its solutions. The Roll-N-Lock is awesome since it has a small amount of bed space, but that gap is driving me nuts!

Like the others I have a VP and love it, takes no time at all to open up. Sturdy and keeps 99.5% of the water out of the bed. (get a few drops once in a while)

I just installed a Roll-X on my 2011 1500, looks pretty good, sits flush with almost no gaps and makes the whole bed lockable. Haven't had it long enough to give a full true opinion other than it's easy to roll open and closed.

Have you looked at the pace Edwards rolling cover? I have one and love it plus no gaps

Check out the Retrax covers, they fit the Ram bedrails better than the Roll-n-locks

Retrax

We just installed one on my wife's 2004 2500 and really liked it. We then unexpectedly fell in love with a new 2014 Laramie 1500 and traded the '04 in. Got a good trade in and they agreed to include another Retrax installed on the new truck. We dropped it back off today for the installation.

Just bought a 2013 1500 used, with the roll n lock installed. there are no gaps , it fits my truck nicely, perhaps the one in the photo was not installed properly. It seems to be very secure when locked, although it does allow some water in.
