I thought so truck handles the load just fine and the transmission with 8 speed seems to be handling just as good

I'm thinking of picking up a 2019 3500 SRW Tradesman 6.4 Hemi 4.10 axle 8speed 6'4 bed. Do you think it could tow my 2005 Montana 3400RL fifth-wheel at 16,500 lbs?

Azcat I have a 19 2500 6.4 hemi with 3.73 gears and I am pulling at least 17k. I am happy with it but in the end it is a gas truck. Fuel mileage isn’t to bad 10mpg at 70 mph. So I believe you will be just fine

It pulls just fine. Yes it is different than the Cummins but it goes quite well. Have pulled right at a thousand miles now after this weekend and averaged about 11 mpg. Shifting points are good and seems to be doing just fine so far

17k including truck and trailer or 17k trailer only?

Our 2018 2500 6.4 3.73 2wd 6 RFE CC goose neck pulls our 2 horse slant sleeper. Live load with water and all the **** she brings is 9000lb. Pulls up and down mountain grades from Central Ca to Coast to high Sierra's. I was surprised on the grade pulls how hard 2nd and third work. I think that might be one of the benefits of the 8 speed. But, so far performance has been as expected.

Yea as for grade pull when we head to Arkansas through the steep ass hills this truck does just fine. I am ok with the performance it is doing even though I stepped down from the Cummins.

I pulled a trailer with a load of hard wood flooring and it was about 150 miles. No problems shifting on time no lag or hesitation, didn't even know I was pulling a heavy load. Also I was pulling weight in trailer to max

FordRamguy- What part of Arkansas? I love the Ozarks and Ouachitas! We don't have much for elevation but we do have some steep switchbacks.
