I should add that the belt I used would be for the 09-12 model years. I'm sure with the addition of electric assisted steering on the '13s and up that the belt will be shorter do to no hydraulic power steering pump.

OK finally got around to installing mine. For anyone waiting for a belt size and/or a part number... I used a 78" length, 6-rib Dayco belt from Advanced Auto part #5060780. Goodyear also has a Gatorback belt with same specs, part#4060780.

In hindsight, I probably could of used a 77-1/2" belt, but it would been a little tougher to get on. As it is now, this has the tensioner sitting at the halfway point.

So, uh, any initial performance gain thoughts?

Haha I haven't even started it let alone drive it yet and probably won't for atleast another two weeks. I'm awaiting a trans install(really awaiting trans filters and quicklearn), also painting my valve covers and intake manifold in the down time.

Under drive pullies don't have the bang for the buck like other mods. Not worth it.
Without an overdrive pulley on your alternator, you battery life will drop significantly.

Whew, just got done reinstalling the stock pulley. Thanks Jason, I don't know what I was thinking. You really helped me dodge a bullet there.

I guess we should just turn this into a intake, catch can, or muffler debate. Pick your poison....

Hey, whatever cranks your tractor. From past experience with camaro's and stangs, under drive pulleys are a joke.

Please do come back and tell me how you can "feel" the difference. A good laugh is always great.

We were doing underdrive pulleys and short belts 20 years ago to pick up a few hundredths...they're not a nitrous kit but they do work.

Again, every small mod adds up in the end. It may not make sense for most who drive their cars daily, but when you are doing full bolt-ons w/ some big heads/cam, every bit you can get after that counts.

You may not feel a difference as its not a seat in the pants mod, but your times will most certainly reflect it (even if its small).

What do you recommend then? I'm all ears since you have all this grand knowledge from your Camaro and Mustang days.
