Hey so i recently purchased a built tranny and TC from ATS for my 4x4 2010 ram 5.7 and the tranny swap went smooth until i discovered that the OEM cooling line fittings are too large for the new tranny housing. ATS has been a pain to deal with and acted like they had never heard of this issue before. Once i get the right sized fittings the truck will be good to go. Just wanted to know if anyone had run into this issue and how they dealt with it?

Any help would be appreciated this has been frustrating. I like working on my truck not talking on the phone trying to figger out parts.

Thanks

I've done several trans swaps on my Boosted 10' 4x4 now,
Swapped all the original fittings and sensors over from my original trans every time.
The ones that came with the other transmission never matched my stock cooler lines.

... are you saying your OEM threaded fitting won't go into the ATS case?

Weird, I thought all 45RFE cases were the same, even though the inner part of fittings changed over the years.

I used to get free parts from ATS...they weren't worth the price I paid.

ats didn't send any fittings with the tranny package they assumed the stock fittings would work with their housing

I just went through my ATSG TechTran 45/545RFE service manual,
sorry, no mention anywhere what size the fitting is supposed to be.

By chance is the threaded hole filled with purple paint? :roflsquared:

...sorry, had to ask:crazy:

usually a trans gets shipped with some kind of fitting in place with a plug
to keep paint from getting in the threads....and dirt out during shipping.
