Ok so I installed all new speakers (6 in total). I ran from the HU directly into an LC7 then to amp and finally to speakers. I got power and everything looks good and bam no sound. I'm now seeing that I may need to install some resistors to let the radio know theres speakers?? I'm kind of at a loss here and need some guidance cuz it's a long quiet ride without tunes. So if I need these resistors... where is the quickest way I can get them and how do I install them? Thanks and please helppppp.

Regular non-Alpine system or upgraded Alpine? A quick way to make sure your amps and speakers work is to plug something up to the inputs and bypass the HU and LC7. Like an iPod an rca cord or something. This will eliminate any of that being wrong.

Do you get a power light on the amp and the LC7? Maybe there not powering up via the remote 12-volt signal?

What channel did you tap the LC into?

The three pots on the top of the LC7...are they at zero setting (all the way to the left)...these control output to the system I think. No, I don't have one, but these two audio geeks talk about setting the LC7i up...have a look. I do not think your comment about "resistors" is correct, in that I should think you would get some sort of sound out of the speakers without the resistors,...it may not be as finely tuned as you'd like is all. Here's a link to the geeks:

Shouldn't need resistors for your system. Thought it was only the alpine nav. Make sure your rcas are good. Turn up the input on the lc7. Open the lc7 and make sure your jumpers are set correctly if that's an option. Turn up your amp gain, at least you can hear a hiss to know the amp is working. Which amps do you have? Where'd you run your amped speaker wires to? Back of the deck or all the way to the speakers?

I installed a 8.4 radio the week before. While installing I noticed my backup camera was aftermarket so there is a harness that connects to factory connector. I tapped in from the harness radio side and ran it back to the lc7. I have a 4 channel Rockford fosgate amp. I checked the gains and I had them set at 5. I noticed on the lc7 it's not showing connected to main channel like in the video just posted. So im not even sure it's getting any signal. I also ran new speaker wire to all doors. I tapped into the cig lighter for the remote and both devices turn on with the car. Seems pretty straight forward but I'm clearly missing something.

Front or Rear Channel?

I have this 5 pair conductor cable so I tapped into every speaker wire (4 channels) and connected them straight to the Lc7. I jumped right rear door I believe and sent it to the sub channel.

The lc7i can be turned on via remote wire or left front speaker sensing. If you got a remote going to it then make sure the ART is off. Do you have a volt meter? This is the point i would be testing my wires. Which model fosgate is it so i can check out the manual? I think being on 5v might be a problem. If you're able to snap some pics of the lc7 knobs and fosgate panel that'd be cool.

Ok I'll take some pics for you by tomorrow. I originally didnt have a remote wire becuase I knew it would turn on when sensing signal. I wonder if that's causing the problem. I have RF r600-4d. I have to be up early for work tomorrow so I'll def take pics of everything.

I was installing the kicker upgrade and made the mistake of turning the radio on with one speaker disonnected.

For some odd reason my computer got pissed, kinda like booting up a PC with a peripheral not hooked up.

I waited and waited nothing would make the speaker work again. I think I ended up disconnecting the battery and waited for while. Turned radio on and bam! It was back.

Again, hook up another input via rcas and see if the amps and speakers work. If so, it’s a HU or lc7 issue. Eliminate what you can and go from there.

I’ve read this same thing more than once. OP, try disconnecting the battery for a while then reconnect and try again.

Definitely follow Spuds suggestion of hooking up a device straight to the amp. I see what you mean by amp gain at 5/11. I was thinking it was 5v you were trying to match. Hopefully it's as simple as dc the battery for a few minutes or don't run a remote to it or make sure your front speakers are going to the main input on the lc7.

Your head unit requires a load to be shown to send the signal. Hooking straight up to the lc7 doesn't give it enough of a load to allow it to turn on. You can do a couple cheap resistors from Amazon or something or you can get the good quality ones that wont heat up or break down from audio control directly. From audio control directly would be my suggestion because when I had cheapies in the would get so hot you couldn't even touch them let alone wanting them to sit under my center console
