Nooooooooo! How about the blank left side of the oem aux panel, where the trailer brakes levers would be?

NOPE! all electronics lol. I was surprised too when I opened up my 14 express which didnt even have the 8spd. The 4x4 knob is in the same place as the 8spd knob and below it was empty like yours. Backside its a large black box that hast he electronics.

The Same thing with the AUX panel. Its all one large electronic box... no access to put switches. Your best bet is to get another Panel with unused AUX buttons and wire them to power relays (sends ground signal).

That's badass. U have to buy the switches too or u just upgraded them?

I had them already but you have to supply your own switches for the panel.

Don't see why is won't work on 09-12.

Not sure, does say for 13-18. Maybe the bezels are slightly different and it won't conform properly or possibly how it can secure to the top of the bezel would be different. Idk, never had a 09-12 to know if the bezel is different.

The blank area where the trailer brake controls would be is just a plastic plug. That can definitely be used for switches

Awesome. I thought so because when you look at the part for sale on ebay that far left end is vacant. So I assume because mine is empty as well it too must be vacant behind it.

Newer trucks have the padded soft top dash so I’m sure it’s cutout is different to sit flush.

You sure about that? Here’s the back of my 14. Mine has a plug going into that “blank space”. Bottom left is the 4wd knob selector, right above that (middle left). It might just be a block off plug connected/molder into the blank cover for trailer but not totally sure. This is 3.5” radio bezel, 4x4, 6spd.

It’s a plug holder. The connector dead ends to that plastic blanking piece. Take the plug out and you’ll see there’s nothing there.

There’s a similar plug holder on the right side for the power inverter, it just turns back into the holder in the dash structure.

So youre saying the harness coming from the "empty" spot on the left side of his aux panel goes nowhere and is not in use? I ran the part number and gather his aux panel looks like this below...

I ended up making my own switch box/pod. Working great and only one hole drilled thru firewall under dash. Conduit terminates in a fuse/relay box in engine compartment.

Has anybody seen a set of switches that fill this opening where the brake controller is supposed to fit? I've looked all over and haven't been able to find one.
I'd like to put a set there that blend in with everything else to run emergency fire/ems lights from

Theres some debate whether that "opening" is actually open in the back. So picking switches is difficult. I have two 16mm latching LED buttons ready but had to reorder my front camera so I haven't installed yet. They fit externally (barely) but the buttons are deep so idk yet.

I can tell you w/o a doubt, you will not find any RAM buttons or square button to fit that space to look oem.

Ok, thanks for the input, the mounting on the manual override door for park on the other side is kinda growing on me. Otherwise, I can engineer something off the side of the cup holder console as weel

I want to utilize the factory switch panel in my 2012 that houses the hazard, tow/haul, and the power outlet switch... I found this switch panel which has 4 AUX switches and looks to be the same as the panel in my truck. Has anyone ever opened these panels up and placed the AUX switches in the factory panel? Does the harness in the truck already have wires or would a different harness need to be purchased and spliced in?

Aux panel rear - https://ssli.ebayimg.com/images/g/QvkAAOSwa-dWnk2L/s-l1600.jpg

Thanks!
