Received stocked coils today that I got from a fellow RF member and I have got to say, I am glad I got my factory ride back! Anyone who is on the fence about cutting coils, DON'T DO IT!!! I live in the country and the roads around here are good in most places but I was tired of guessing which way my truck was going to jump when I hit a bad spot in the road. Not only do I have the factory ride back, but the truck just feels better while accelerating and overall handling too. I had cut my stock coils last summer to level the rear of the truck. With my experience, I will never go the cheap route again with something involving the suspension, ride quality, etc. So for anyone thinking about cutting the springs, just spend the $200 and at least if one day you decide to go back stock, you will have the factory coils on the spare parts shelve in your garage. Again this is my experience with cutting coils and to each there own.

AND my fuel mileage has gone up at least 1 mpg!!! Not sure if it was the ride angle or what. I'm not complaining tho! Went from high 16s to 18. Back to what I use to get! Hasn't been this good in a long time.

Not surprised.

Ram puts MILLIONS of dollars into the development of every feature on these trucks. The ride height is no exception.

If they went so far as to put the grill shutters in for maybe a percent or so on mpg, wouldn't they do likewise for everything else?

Just my thoughts

LOL another one learns the hard way.

Cutting coils is well known for the looongest time for the crappiest ride and never the right way. Thats what the ricers do to the the washboard ride LOL

I wholeheartedly disagree. Order yourself a set of 3-4" lowering springs and tell us if they're worlds different than your cut stockers. You're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree. My cut stockers ride just like factory, even tow fine with 700lb tongue weight.
