I have some back up lights coming for the rear bumper ... Is there a way to tap them into the OEM light on the bumper so they come on when in reverse ? If so what is the way of doing this .

All you've got to do is use a wire tap on the power wire from the lights you're adding to tie into the power wire running to your reverse light socket in your tail lights

If memory serves me right the wire is white? I'll have to look for the wiring diagram later tonight.

Do NOT tap the reverse on the tail lights unless you plan on running a relay to power your new lights. You have the tow package, correct? Tap into the reverse wire at the hitch plug. And still use a relay!

I did the back up lights on mine only I mounted them to the leaf springs. I know sounds weird but they actually work really well and light up the area behind the truck a lot. I back my truck into my garage so I need to see where I am going when it's dark. The lights were cheap too, I got them from Harbor freight. I tapped into the back up wire from the trailer connection and used a relay also. Here are a few photo's, please understand these have seen Wisconsin winter so they are getting a little rusty but they still light my way.

I just ran them to a switch. Ran a fuse Ect. Just need the ups man to show up. I don't need them for backing up. More for hunting.
