I guess to me, who fixes it would depend on if your going to keep it after it has been fixed. If your going to keep it I take it to whoever would do the best job and someone you trust. If your going to sell it or trade it after it's fixed then I would just go to whoever was the easiest to deal with. Glad your OK--I understand how **** can happen fast---really fast.

Probably gonna keep it for awhile, won't be able to afford anything new just yet. I would probably lose money on it right now. I have a friend whose dad has a body shop but I would need a dealer to look at everything else or another shop.

Weel, we all know that someday each and everyone one of our trucks are going to be scrap. You us got started a little earlier.
Buy a newr one, that;s what is so great about trucks. cheaper to replace and upgrade, than wives.

I got full coverage so it's not costing me anything but the $500 deductible, bull bar is bent but the only aftermarket thing that got messed up was my fogs and flares. I couldn't afford new now, I blew my *** on a down payment for my wife's vehicle for the summer. So getting it fixed is my only option right now

As others said , glad your ok and sucks about your rig. It’s been said that in my area we manufacture fog. Living in the North Atlantic foggy days are almost more common than sunny days so around here running in fog is just second nature your eyes kinda get used to it. Much like driving in blowing snow, after a while you know what works for lighting. I find turning my headlights off and running my park lights and fogs work great when it’s really thick.

I soon learned that the 42”lightbar and fog / blowing snow do not mix at all.

I was taught that fog lights are the only thing that should be on when dealing with thick fog. I have a pet peeve when certain Cars kill the fog light when you turn the headlight off, makes no damn sense.

I like to leave the 4 ways on in heavy fog. Just more noticable if you're behind me driving faster. Usually I'm the guy driving faster but it could happen.

They don't kill fog lights...they kill driving lights.

Driving lights are white, fog lights are amber.

Most states it is a law you can't have high beams on and driving lights that are separate at the same time.

I vote dealer body shop. They work on a lot of rams so they are familiar with them and if they screw it up they have deeper pockets to help to make it right.

When I was getting my small plane license I landed hard once ( a few times actually!) and was embarrassed. Instructor said every landing with a student that he walks away from is a good landing.

Hey, glad you're ok. Noticed you said it happened in Oswego. That's where I live. I actually remember the fog that morning, if you posted the same day or so of your accident. If you're looking for an Oswego body shop, either Vashaw's or Ken's Body shop are top notch.

Sorry to read about the accident but glad you walked away. Post up progress pics as the repairs happen.

Thanks guys, getting sent home from work on Friday so I'll be having it towed to MD on Thursday to my local dealer. Part of me wants it fixed and the other part hopes its totaled. Really worried it'll never be the same again. If it is totaled I got my eye on a 17' Power wagon I found for sale
