I finally broke down an ordered a light bar and 2 of the pod lights for the back and installed them this week. The install turned out good but I didn't take any pics because it was snowing and I was freezing but I took one tonight of how it looks on the truck.

I would be so scared to break that front bar somehow. I mostly only do city driving, but my luck I would find a way.

I'm mostly just highway and one dirt road to work but if it does break it was only 100 so it won't hurt my feelings too bad.

How did you route the switches and harness ? I would like to fit an LED with red filter for fog capability.

Red lights are generally reserved for emergency vehicles. I would go yellow/ amber if I were you.

Let me clarify, just a solid LED red light similar in intensity to brake light . used only in poor visibility conditions.

Oh, gotcha. That makes more sense, I was thinking LED pod style. You can also get modules that let the third brake light or whatever flash a couple times before going solid. Kind of like F1 cars do. A lot of ambulances around here have them.

I had one of those Kahtec flashing units working on my 3rd stop light in my previous 3 vehicles, last time around I left it in the vehicle when I traded it in. Meaning I didnt bother taking it out to fit it into the Ram.

Haha we have different wheels but I did steal the idea from him of where to mount my bar, then again there isn't much choice on the Laramie.

Just seen this but I just ran my harness through a rubber grommet in the firewall an routed into my center console. I took the little piece off the left side of the console and drilled holes for the switches it was really easy compared to having to mount somewhere on the dash.

Thanks. The rear light LED probably won't have a harness and switch , I need to route under the bed and then into the cab. I'm thinking one ground wire and one switched on live wire to tap into.

For the back I just bought wire an split loom an zip tied it to the frame all the way down.
