I use Michelin Defender LTX for my summer tires.

They're quiet and stick to the wet road better than most I've tried. I have mine pumped up a bit yet they still do well with sporty driving on wet roads.

You may have to hunt to find anything that isn't E-rated in that size, mine aren't but are a few years old.

Also, the OEM tire size should be 275/60R20. I know there's only a small difference but the "60" series is more common which can affect availability and pricing.

I've been using Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT on my last 3 Ram 1500's with 20" wheels. Good traction in ice & snow, super quiet on the highway with great tread life.
I’m with you on the Cooper AT3 XLT’s , to date the best tire I’ve run so far on my 2014 3500 . Good traction , and quiet , can’t speak about tread life yet , but so far wearing okay .

I ran Cooper Discoverer A/T "E" rated tires I got from WalMart. Got 81,000 miles out of them.

Now Cooper has been bought by Goodyear, not sure if quality is the same, they changed the look a bit.

I had LT265/70R17 with those Coopers

I got Nitto Dura Grappler HT's on now, and I will be lucky if I get 40k out of them.

We just put a set of the Cooper Discoverer AT on our '13 Tundra in LT285/55R20. They were a bit pricey as prices have gone stupid over the last few years. They look nice, but no longer have the white lettering, which I personally liked.

Will take a pic in the daylight tomorrow.

Vote for these. Absolutely best tires I ever had on all of my trucks over the years.

There are so many tires out there which will meet your needs. What are some of the other factors, wants...or 'needs' you want on a tire such as:

- White letter?
- Load rating?
- Rim protecting bead?
- Budget
- How many miles a yr do you drive?
- Other?

I ran a set of Pirelli Scorpion AT tires till they were practically bald. Great tire, held it's shape the entire time. Handled well. Super quiet. Top tier mfgr. They didn't dry-rot like Michelins do. Good dry weather and rain tire (not snow). They meet your needs. I'd give them a look. Continental makes a good road (tk) tire too...forget the model. Yeah, the Falkens. I have the Coopers on three trucks. Walmart exclusive (on a nice sale!) ...they run out nice. Time will tell how long they live long-term. I've run a set of Firestone Destination LE's which were a super-smooth running tire and ran out real nice. I called the guy, was going to buy a set of tires at another place. He shot me a super verbal 'manager's special' only if I came in right away (they were slow that morning). I did and it worked out great. Got a nice set of good tires at a great deal.

You have a lot of options. Too many to list :waytogo:

Make sure you get your new tires Road Force Balanced (look it up on Y/T).

The nice thing about buying the Coopers ...or any tire, from Walmart, is installation is much cheaper than most tire places. Could be as much as $80 cheaper for the set than other places. That's not chump-change. Prices vary locallay but around here, here's how things break down:

- Installation is free on tires bought from Walmart - $0
- Valve stems are a couple bucks - $2
- $3/tire disposal. I can't remember if it's $3 or 0$.
- Balance is like $12/tire.

Add that up and it's like $17/tire ...

So besides the tires being cheaper, the install will cost about $100 LESS than some tire shops. Factor that into your pricing matrix. Only downfall is they don't road-force balance. But I pretty much only buy tires at wally world.

But if other local places run a deep sale, I'm certainly not opposed to buying locally. I often do when there are good local deals. The downfall is Wallmart workers are sloppy and you hve to keep your eye on them at all times (so they don't goof something up). And they don't (generally) have Road Force balancers.

Another thought.

The last time I shopped for tires, Costco was competitively priced and included a road hazard warranty.

I couldn't find a road hazard warranty from any other tire vendor up here.

Costco Canadastan and Costco USA sometime have the same warranty features.

That might be worth a check after you identify your preferred tires.

I use TOYO exclusively on my vehicles. Good wear, good traction and low noise. I can't remember off hand the model of the tires on my Ram but they have a good lug on them.

Another yes vote for the Michelin Defenders, have a set on my truck, they are good in wet weather and decent in snow.
