I'll believe it is going when it is gone. Kinda like waiting for the flying cars I first heard about when I was a kid. I'm glad I didn't wait, as it would have been rough getting around the last 50 years or so.

Lets talk about the collectibilty, one would think the year 2000 eagle gold coin would be the most valuable gold coin in recent history. Becaiuse of y2k millions stocked gold and in 1999 they made a ton extra so the year 2000 also had the story behind it y2k end of the world. In actuality, the more valuable gold coin is 2001, because so much gold went out and as it turns out y2k was nothing, there was no market for gold so they didn't make very much.

Here is why 433k year 2000 coins were struck, and in 1999 (end of the world) over 4 million coins were struck.

The 2001 American Gold Eagle is a highly sought-after release, primarily because the 1 oz version features the second-lowest mintage in the entire series' history (143,605 coins). It contains 1 Troy oz of 0.9167 pure gold and trades at a premium over the spot price due to its scarcity/

So despite the back story the true value was in the details. The details with RAM is because of low quality products or the perception of low quality products they have lost so much business the euro influenced mandate lovers actually brought back the non e-torque hemi, why? Because consumer spit on e-torque hemi value along with hurricane engine. Number one 250 is a big deal because one dude is making it one, nobody seeks something like that. Even year 2000 vehicles how many are "collectors" items? My brother bought a 100 year anniversary Harley, thought he would retire on it some day. Sold it for peanuts just like any used bike. Many were built because guys like my brother wanted them. But there were particularly mechanically exceptional and not rare at all, they built a lot. Collectors don't seek what you would think they should, the first thing a collector thinks about is rarity, and then it gets real as in everything else has to be desirable. All the 100 year old Harley had was a badge. RAM is very unpopular now, they lost all the gains made from 4 gens in one year, now if they don't course correct RAM will go byby. Paying 64k for a RAM with eTorque because it's a 250?

Yeah there will be no market for an old etorque no matter what because it's garbage and the only thing worse then an e-torque hemi is an USED e-torque hemi. Dude, like nobody will be collecting these except the junk yard, they will have plenty.

If there is something undesirable in the engine, limited numbers is meaningless in the value. Think about how many bad vehicles have been made in low numbers. And the 250 truck has many models and I doubt will be rare. Think about the last naturally aspirated porsche in 2011, now commands a million bucks and more, sometimes less depending how condition. Imagine if it had an e-torque unit hanging on it? The entire value of this was because it was built without junk hanging on and the next year they went di turbo. I answered because you quoted me, I have nothing more to add. Whatever your choice, I hope it works out RAM brother.

The truck you're looking at only has the 5.7,so why would you be considering this truck over a 5.7 Rumble Bee,which might hold it's value,where as the truck you're looking at now won't hold it's value due to it being an e-torque truck

2027 order guides are posted, and all trim levels with the hemi still have eTorque except for the rumble bee. I’m just not sure where people are getting the idea that eTorque is gone…

There’s no such thing as a non-eTorque hemi in a 2023-2026 Ram 1500.
2027 bighorn still has an eTorque hemi.
