I'm currently running some Redline SI-1 and 91 octane before my next oil change. Would you do an oil analysis after running it, or will the results be skewed because of the SI-1?
I plan to use Redline 5w-30 and a Fram XG2 filter since the RP 20-820's are outrageously priced in Canada and the XG2 is readily available.
Good question don't know that one. I would wager however the wear numbers such as iron and copper and alum will be still accurate. There is a report somewhere that it can thicken viscosity. We don't have a lot of examples on this or thought put into it.
I did exactly this, either on my last OCI or the one right before. I let Blackstone know about the RedLine Sl-1 in the notes when I sent in the sample. They thanked me for letting them know and added that it wouldn't make a difference or show up.
@ccsrt8 Just let them know on the off chance something weird shows in your UOA.
