Blower Motor Potentially Going Out? Unusual Fan Noise

I just removed my blower motor. It was pretty clean inside no dirt came off the blades really but some came out from where the bearing would be located. I sprayed compressed air best i could and it made it a little quieter but not much. It's not worth replacing the blower motor at this time. It has zero play. I'm not gonna to replace the damn thing unless it starts sounding like the Rock Biter from The Neverending Story. If I can only find some kind of cleaner/lubricator vent spray product, i'd definitely try it.

Definitely worth trying! I wonder how it would make its way into the blower motor if it's all sealed up though. Hey, still worth a try!

Welp I'm glad I decided to remove the electrical cover on the blower motor to at least have a look at the motor/copper. Rust inside of it. Assuming condensation made its way in and had no place to escape quickly enough. I tried drilling a couple small holes in the cage itself near the strongest part of it in hopes I could put some lubricant in there and work it in. The sound won't go away or improve. New part it is.

Ugh......I just listened to the YouTube link you included on this thread and my truck was making that exact same noise. Emphasis on WAS because my blower motor isn’t doing anything now

I hate that you had to go through it but I appreciate all the information you provided on this thread

I just bought a replacement part that was half price of OEM. Hope it doesn't last half as long. haha
