So shopping for 1 1/2" flexible sump pump hose to extend my run, because we got over 8" of rain in the past 3 days. Rona, $20 for 20' with adapters and clamps, Home Depot $26. Amazon, hose only $65. Pays to shop around.

Sometimes you can find better deals on Walmart.com. They offer a much larger selection online than what you'll find in their local stores. Some items include free shipping if you're a Walmart+ member, some items require extra shipping fee. But there are plenty of other places to buy car parts besides Amazon. Even within the Amazon website, there are plenty of sellers that sell the same exact part at wildly different prices, if you bother to scroll down and go through the various pages.

That’s because they let third party vendors on Amazon. Only buy from Amazon itself.

Amazon supports and practices highway robbery prices on the dot CA site.
This is not anything questionable. Compare the prices for yourself.
Most are 30% to 50% higher, some are more than twice the price versus the dot com site.

On the vehicle parts front in Canada, ya gotta shop around. I'd love to by local but for the most part the prices are just to high when I can order shocks, 16 plat plugs, serp belt, idler and tensioner from Rock Auto with shipping for the same price as the Shocks and serp belt locally.. Rock auto wins.. Hell the other day I needed a Starter for the '17. Napa $350, Lordco $250, Canadian Tire $250. Rockauto with 2 day delivery and more choice of models $200.

There's a company that claims to be the Canadian Rock Auto.... Parts Avatar. I used them once cause I was buying like $4000 in parts and wanted to use a certain payment card that they accept that Rock Auto does not. Total order would have been $200 cheaper at Rock Auto (with shipping), would have gotten the whole order in 4 days with Rock Auto. Parts Avatar claims 3 days shipping, some stuff didn't leave their warehouse for 3 weeks. Packaged horribly. Horrible customer service. They are a never again for me.

Try eBay. I order and have ordered a lot of automotive parts off of it as well as amazon and other places. You've got to do your research and see who has the best price on what you are shopping for. No need for you to get upset and blow a head gasket about it!!!

Well, I went to the local auto parts store a while back and orders a rear caliper for my truck. When I got it home, I soon realized that I wouldn't use it on a go cart let alone a highway vehicle. I took it back and exchanged it for a rebuilt. It was proper. I never got my return shipping refund from Amazon!

This the worst case of PRICE GOUGING EVER. I am sure.I had been looking on Amazon .ca,last evening and noticed they are selling a (this is not a 3rd party seller), a
MOPAR 203degree thermostat for
$152.00(CDN).PART #52028898AI.
They were selling it a month ago for
$50dollars less.A few months prior,$54.00.(CDN)
This is old stock,as well.MOPAR sells the newer thermostat that supercedes this PART#52028898AJ
FOR $44.62(CDN).......
Look it up yourself if you do not believe me
This is for your hemi 5.7 and 6.4.....
Amazon 's owner (J Besos) new wifey must really be spending alot of money lately, or he is trying to catch up to that trillionaire guy (building Teslas & rockets that go to outer space).I won't even buy toilet paper from Amazon anymore...simply nucking futs discusting!
The problem is Amazon.ca I just looked it up on Amazon.com and it is nowhere near that price. It was like $41.00. I’m guessing it’s the tarriffs not the owner ofAmazon.

No, not the tariffs. This price difference has always been present, although it has become worse in the past 5 years.

I've bought Canadian-made items from A dot com for much less money than dot ca, more than a few times.

I believe that Amazon regularly (multiple times/day), electronically assesses the customer's ability to pay, and they may well raise prices on customers they feel can pay more. I've seen some prices change before my eyes.

T-stat priced that high. To cover all the ai bots they’re replacing the workers with. So anywhere they build a new warehouse they won’t be putting people to work. I don’t use that 203 T-stat. I get a 190-195. And I always drill a small hole in em if it don’t have 1 . Place the hole at the top makes it easier to bleed air out.

About the only things I buy on Amonzon.ca are some house stuff that is way easier to find , cheaper and a couple knock off Dyson vac batteries that seem to work very well at 1/3 of the price of factory "real" ones, that are almost impossible to find anyway.
going great 2-3 yrs in.

My printer cartridge is one that is way cheaper. 1/3 of the price of staples, mind you The Staple depots I hear are closing because of all the online buying.
Pricing could enter into that I would think, they don't even have a tec kid anymore , and the grandkids are too far away to tell me what to do.

So i just wing it , works most of the time.
Found out airplane mode is very peaceful.

Dean2, I seen that weather map and thought crap, when you need it its no where to be found. We where in Saskatoon for a few days and not much rain at all. On gravel road it just settled the dust .

I was mowing every 2 days last while, getting tired.

I buy mostly off ebay. I cancelled my amazon acct years ago. I hate when I order something and it's shipped from amazon. They leave stuff all over the place. Driveway, in front of the garage. I have confronted the drivers, who are barely literate. The house faces the street with the number plainly on it. They point to the hand held GPS device and say dis ees where eet say leave.

The world is full of lemmings. I get all steamed from time to time as to the wonton stupidity rife among those who share my oxygen.
Then I remember the Ron White statement of "You can't fix stupid".
And some other later comedian who said "You might not be able to fix stupid, but it ought to hurt!".

I will say this, in my neck of the woods I only found one store that competes with Amazon on pricing. Now the total customer experience is another thing, but Walmart is one that often has the same exact price as Amazon for some odd reason. Enter today, I bought two original KYB shocks part # 349024 and with my searching only Walmart has the same exact price 46.99 per shock, I ordered yesterday USPS will deliver today and Walmart usually has fast ship as well. Now, I have never paid for a return to amazon, just take the order to whole foods = done, or use their ups label service also free. Since whole foods is close we do not have a Walmart in this town of 65k people, I have to drive to Walmart and stand in that fun line to return something, so all things equal I go Amazon, but I cant tell you how many times Walmart has the same price as Amazon and that price is much lower then anyone else. Someone search that part number and tell me I over paid? Most places double or more the Amazon/Walmart.

Mind you this is just todays example, I can only use relevant info. I can post every order last ten twenty or more and the same thing or similar would be revealed.

The shock I am getting =today..

Non Amazon options. IMO this is just stupid, and why I use Amazon. Give me a reason to use any other option? Double or triple same exact item! Now, how can Napa justify this? They could literally buy from Amazon and make 200% profit, so why would I use Napa when I can pocket that 200% in my pocket?

Ebay tons of options, out of every poption the cheapest I see is 164 for 2 shocks.
