Cross drilled are a terrible idea IMHO. Even rotors which are cast with the holes (Porsche, etc) can crack over time, and they don't drive in conditions like a RAM on the street would.
Slotted rotors have many of the benefits but keep the strength and mass in the rotor which the cross drilled's lose.
Not only does drilling weaken the rotors, it removes mass which decreases the amount of heat it can hold/dissipate. Not sure why anyone would do that other than for looks.
Check out Powerslot's cryo-treated rotors if you're set on something fancy. They'll treat you well.

To be fair ANY rotor can crack over time.
I've read as many articles about drilled rotors being bad as I have about them being good. Anything that's abused can fail...holes, slots or plain.

I find slotted are great for a DD. I put a set of DBA rotors on my G8 for DD driving with a set of HPS Hawk pads and couldn't be happier. Now that it's a GQ, I'll probably step up my game to a complete Wilwood setup.

No one is disagreeing with you, but for how he will use them? Not the best choice choice I'd say.

Doesnt matter how he uses them, unless he plans on doing some auto x-ing. Drilled/slotted rotors will be fine a daily driving.
