Well I'm just about to come up on 110k miles,on my 04. Purchased it in 2010 with 57k an have only put front pads on it so I figure I should address it sooner than later. I would like to do a lil upgrade from stock unless it's a lot more to do but not really knowledgeable on the subject so any help would be appreciated on what to go with

I think compared to other vehicles, our stock brakes are adequate. Throw on some nice pads, rebuild the calipers, and swap the fluid. Maybe paint the calipers too if ya want, but I wouldn't change much. If you were lifted and rolling on 40s that would be a different story due to all the extra weight. Just my non expert .02 lol

Responded on another forum, but what's your budget and you looking for better than stock or bigger?

On my 2005 Ram I went with EBC Yellow Stuff and Hi-Temp brake fluid. It was quite a noticeable difference. Only drawback is the Yellowstuff needs a little heat in them first to bite well. It was never a problem for me. Never experienced brake fade with that setup.

Better than stock not so much bigger cause I like the option of running smaller wheels. I'd really like to up to some factory 20s when these tires wear out but that's down the road. Money wise I'm not really set on a number per say

Well, aftermarket are pricey but can keep you within whatever wheel size you're shooting for. If I'm not mistaken most of the aftermarket kits use aluminum calipers, not sure how they'll hold up with that much weight. Even the stock Ram SRT10 calipers are cast iron. With the SRT brakes you HAVE to run factory spec 20's minimum (20x9 and factory offset) to clear them.

I'm thinking the srt stuff will be to costly for me. I've heard about people doing the ebc stuff with happy results, to really think about it I feel my trucks stock brakes are pleanty sufficent for what I need. It's not like I haul anything with it, just ass

That case I'd go with Power Stop (or slotted rotor of your choice) rotors and a good pad. One idea that will cost you some time and money is to convert to a hydroboost setup from a diesel truck. Heard nothing but good from people who have done it.
