I recently converted my 2011 to dual exhaust using a 2014 bumper with the dual exhaust ports. It looks (and sounds) kickass but the only bumper I could get my hands on for under $300 was this one, with holes for parking sensors that my truck can't use. I figured I'd just get some plugs at the hardware store and call it a day.

I have tried every plug and cap I could find at Home Depot and Lowes, none of them fit well enough that I'd trust them to stay & they look bad anyway. I decided to just install the sensors and not have them hooked up. I can buy all four sensors for $30, but the bezels are $20 apiece everywhere I look? Is that right?

If I'm going to be spending $110 plugging these holes anyway, is there an aftermarket kit that will fill the holes and actually give me working backup sensors?

I had the same situation. Does the bumper have the outer plastic fitting that the actual sensor fits in? I had those so I found a piece of black plastic. Made my own sensor plug. When I got them to fit right, I glued them in with gorilla glue. Once glued in I took a rattle can of undercoating and sprayed them on the back side. You could not tell they were not actual sensors. It really looked good.

Unfortunately no, mine came stripped (even had to procure new mounting brackets). The bezel pieces are $20 apiece but it's starting to look like I don't have a choice, I never would have thought these little plastic suckers would be the most expensive part of a bumper swap.

What about Hoffman KO seals? They are used to seal unused knock outs in weatherproof electrical boxes. They come in both grey and stainless steel. Don't know if 1/2" ones would be big enough, a 1/2" knock out is 7/8" in diameter (the KO seal will be slightly bigger). 3/4" knock out holes are 1.125"92F112-40.jpeg
