I notice an oil burning smell when sitting at idle. Today after I pulled in the garage I noticed it when I went into the garage and had to open the garage door. The truck now has 600 miles on it. In reading posts, others have had the same problem. I have read the posts but I guess I am hopefully optimistic something isn't wrong. I have read hoses are bad, etc.. Hopefully, this goes away after a break in so I don't have to worry about it. Actually, the dealer got me the wrong truck and this one is going back for a laramie next week. I am just reaching out to all of you to see if this could be an isolated incident or something I should worry about when I pick the laramie up next week. Thanks for any input I appreciate it

Whenever we road test brand new vehicles for the PDI, they emit a burning rubber/oil smell. It's completely normal and it will go away.

You should be fine, all new vehicles have a smell when they're first used!
