They look good IMO, really bright. Happy with them.

Those are okay in quality
The sonar ones that are getting released in a few months are a lot better
No problem on them as of now

the ones in this pic are different, those dont have the even glow bars, but those do have built in LED reverse lights

Those are C shaped LED tails. It doesn't have a bar, but utilized the LEDs to form a C running light and a full square inside it as brake\turn.

Ok, I remember now
I think those were the first ones to come out, then C glow bar came next.

well it would be tricky to do this but it can be done, you would have to hard wire since its not the same type of connections used between the two different style of tail lights, also you have to remove the Resistor pack from the new LED tails, the rams that came with LED tails and OEM projectors came with an electrical system not designed to run a standard halogen bulb, it will damage your system if you put a any kind of load other than just the very minimal one that an LED puts out, next you will have to do some slight custom wiring to a relay in the tail light, that is so that the computer will know that the tail light is working, its a different type of detection the truck uses since it cannot use the bulb load detection the normal trucks use....

it sounds more complicated than it really is, ive done the conversion before but its not a "just cut and splice these wires" kind of thing

Bringing this thread back a bit...

Demon-HeMi would you be able to provide a wiring diagram for what is needed? I did end up buying some tail lights to experiment with and have no problems hard wiring and re-wiring. I did actually wire one in and they worked but I had the dash blinker hyperflash and light out error code.

Thanks!

Are you guys getting any error codes with these? The listing says:

"2013-2017 MODELS W/ INCANDESCENT TAIL LIGHTS & 7" EVIC WILL SHOW "PARKING LIGHT OUT" ON EVIC".

I just pulled my LED bulbs because of error codes and went back to stock bulbs. I'm looking for something LED that won't throw codes without adding resistors to the wires.

Looking at these 2 lights:
1) Black Smoke 2009-2017 Dodge Ram 1500 10-17 2500 3500 LED Tube Tail Lights Lamps | eBay

2) 2009-2017 Dodge Ram 1500 10-17 2500 3500 Red Clear LED Tube Tail Lights Lamps | eBay

It may give an error code.
The Spyder Lights where made back in 2010-2011.
So there was no issue with a resistor needed for the parking lights.
It was only need for the turn signal to prevent hyper-flashing.

Then in 2013 when we got the 7" cluster, it shows more things than the older cluster and now it may give a parking light error code.

The lights are still being made with resistor on the turn signal only so i may or may not give a parking light error code.
Some trucks show it, some don't.

My truck came with a 3.5 cluster and it didn't show anything when i had my tail lights and leds on my silence plate.
As soon as I put my 7" cluster on, it showed a parking light error and license plate light out.

Unfortunately if you have factory projectors and factory LED tails, the aftermarket selection is slim! Hopefully someone chimes in to help you because I'd love to snag a set of those as well lol

Here at Spyder we are releasing a Light Tube style set of LED tail lights for the 13-17 models w/ factory LED tail lights.

No ETA yet, but the ones for the OEM non LED trucks should be here in 3 days.
Im going to take my 1st gen Spyder LEDs off and put those new ones on ASAP

i like that, will that have the red lens option?

Yes we are getting Black, Black Smoke and Red.
I will be putting the Red ones on my truck as soon as they get to the warehouse.

Go Recon already has them out.
The only difference is that their light tubes are Red while ours are like a white color when off, but illuminate red when one.

They got for both the OEM incandescent and OEM LED trucks

I like those. But not the price
What will be the pricing for your tail lights?

I'm still looking at getting some of these, eventually. For those of you who are still running them, what are your thoughts? Any issues, still liking them?

Just to kind of keep this going, what I'd eventually like to see with these C-shaped lights, are some amber turn signals incorporated in somehow. I think they stand out better than the red, especially when the breaks are applied. Maybe PNUTLT1 will get them working on something like that. ;)
