It's only natural to think the CAI tract/filter/whatnot are the 'bottlenecks', but in reality, with modern FI gas engines, unless you are running WOT, it's virtually always the TB,,
That's what makes broad claims of 'improved MPG' so vague/sporadic,,, In some cases,, depending mostly on the vehicle and what ya had before you installed the aftermarket CAI,, maybe some do get better MPG, but if you are already driving in a fuel efficient manner, with a modern, properly functioning OEM intake system and clean filter,,, the 'low hanging grapes' of better MPG have already been plucked,,,
I believe most CAI's may get ya a little more power, but again,, only at WOT.
They certainly have the ability to add in the looks/sound department!
