Bought a new spectre CAI now my truck sounds like it has an exhaust leak at certain speeds and when climbing hills. any ideas?

I've read about this happening to other folks as well. Make sure that none of the CAI is in contact with anything besides the throttle body and that everything is tight.

Check the clamps and I would also make sure that the sensor is in there correct if it seems performance based.

I would check the above listed items. An intake shouldnt cause any ticking sound if it is sealed up and mounted correctly.
