I recently bought a 2017 Ram 1500. Just started hearing what sounds like a lifter tapping. I was told the 5.7 was bad about wearing the lobes off the cam shaft and that was my problem. Any truth to this?

From what I've read there have been some, but not to the same extent. It's not something that is that common, just more common than it should be. Lots of Hemi's out there with well over 100k miles and still running strong.2017s are supposed to have better lifters and not do this. Does anyone know of any failures on 2017 and up?
