Over the years I have mentioned the Split Second Cam Tuner
http://www.moes-performance.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=Cam+Tuner
Suggesting it could help with managing some cam installs in a 03. I have used the Split Second PSC1-003 with good results and expect similar results from the "Cam Tuner" but have never actually tried one. So I've ordered one from Moe's to see how it performs. I just recently went back to stock PCM tune using SC3865 (91) with a Crazy Spartan 112lsa and it would not idle. Installed my "High Idle mod and it idles good at 800 rpm cold and is settling to 650-700rpm warm. This is slightly higher than it was before when I ran this configuration with the difference of a power wire which I do not have installed. I'll post up results when I install the Cam Tuner.

Matt emailed me today saying he had the manufacturer express ship the Cam Tuner to me. Should be here by Friday, awesome service...

Installed the Cam Tuner today, not impressed. But it does seem to steady the idle a little when set to minimum which I would guess is "no adjustment". Funny I previously installed a PSC1-003 prior to installing the crazy Spartan and it too seemed to steady the idle some with the table set to all 10's, which is "no adjustment". Now with the Cam Tuner any adjustment fattens the mixture which surprises me as I figured it would lean the afr out some. I'll continue to play with this some more, but unfortunately I doubt if it will be much help with a cam on a 03. The biggest single thing that I know works on a 03 is the "high idle mod". This took my truck from not being able to idle to being completely street drivable. The search continues...
