Why start a new thread? Something is out of alignment, go back and check everything. rockers, push rods, something. Smell unburnt fuel? It is running loud and bangy?

I post this again, the answer will be here, read this thread, the hemi cam swap bible right here.

I new to the forum didn't know how else to post a question. Yes smells like sunburnt fuel and sounds loud but I figured that was because I'm waiting on exhaust manifold bolts to come in I have 2 broken bolts on the exhaust

I also had to change lifters that's what ate out the old camshaft

You likely are going to have to open her up again and look at push rods and rockers. And, read that link in full before putting it together. Welcome to forum Kasey, hope the fix aint too painful for ya. These cam/lifters really have a lot of us pissed at Ram.

Yeah it's been a pain I did open it back up and see no problems with the rods and rockers. All the rods are seated. Maybe after work in the morning I can pull off the valve covers and the fuel pump fuse and crank it and see what it looks like. Could it be possible the timing is off?

For sure, you see the mark on the timing link? How did you set timing?

Cylinder one at highest point is top dead center.

Yes cylinder 1 was at the TDC crankshaft timing mark at 6 o'clock phaser timing mark at 12 o clock. So what I did discover is the passenger side head gasket is not sealed. Not sure but think it may account for the random misfire and no idle sooo going to take that back off in the morning. I'll post update if it was the entire issue...

Dont forget you have to have the valves closed at tdc. If one is open the cam is off
