Can someone tell me what this random connector is?

I have no idea what the connect is for… its unplugged and taped to the wiring harness at the top of the front grill. Its 2 wires.

The plug is literally at the very top of the drill right behind the grill (between the grill and radiator).

Hard to tell from the pic. If it's near the hood latch and you don't have factory remote start, it could be the plug for the remote start hood latch.

It's not far from the latch, I would say about 6 " from the hood latch.

When I asked the dealer about the remote start they said it was a $500 option and it's not a factory remote, but a universAL remote start that they send out to get installed. I didn't want another clicker on my key chain.

sorta related my sister has a 2014 Cherokee and didnt come with it and dealer added and the fobs were changed out to the ones with the remote start button on them.

Mine has factory remote start and love it

Any remote start has a hood switch.
