canadian recall

got a recall notice today for my power wagon.urgent recall z20 electronic stabilitycontrol.looks like it's just a quick software update.

Yup saw it in the news a few weeks ago. The stability light doesn't come on under certain conditions. It does not effect the operation of the safely system. It's for the US too. Nearly all 2500, 3500, Grand Cherokee and Durango made between 2019 and 2022 are affected.

I don't believe it's a software issue as the recall says parts aren't available. I could be wrong.

I called to bring mine in and they said the parts were on backorder. I mentioned it said it was a software update and they said no it was a module that needed replacing

Great- after many recalls and tsb's on my 2014 now it begins with my 2021. After numerous trips to the dealer with the 2014 I finally started waiting till i had 3 or 4 and have them done all at once.

just talked to service advisor, they want me to drop it off for the day to see if it needs a software update. They stated that it is not a part, not that I have any confidence that they know what is required.

my letter states it's a software update that will take an hour.probably way less but shop time is 1 hour min.

Just got mine done yesterday afternoon. All software, no parts. takes less than hour since they had to program a new key fob for me and I sat in the lounge for about an hour for both.

i've already had it in for 3 modules/sensors new winch and a thermostat and it only has 11000 kilometers.

My 2019 has a couple as well, but only warranty issues were : 1. Winch controller (not winch); stopped working reliably the first time I used it. Would go out but not in. 2. Seat belt tensioner. Like all Chryslter products, their tensioners dont hold up well. Have over 42,000 trouble free miles / 67,500 km on it now. My favorite vehicle ever, in 46 years of driving. Except the MPG of course.
