Very annoying...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Trying to avoid a dealership visit, so I’m waiting for apple to come out with their next update to iOS 12 before I bring it in.

Mine does the same thing with CarPlay but not with the bluetooth.Wow I haven’t seen that error yet. I’m really starting to believe the issue is software related. I notice if I plug my phone in within seconds of starting my truck my CarPlay works. If I wait too long it connects to the usb to charge but no CarPlay. I also notice that if the phone is connected to CarPlay and I unplug the phone, it’s not automatically connected to Bluetooth and I have to go into Bluetooth settings to connect and if I try reconnecting via usb it won’t connect back to CarPlay or even charge my phone.
Just a thought...don’t know if it will help but when you guys with connection issues connect, are you unsecuring your phone first? ie, fingerprint, face recognition or passcode.
iOS has gotten very finicky with security and even a cable change or USB1 vs USB2 could be recognized as a breach and could require re-establishing permission.
Once again, this is a just a thought but if it helps someone, it was worth being said.
Does anyone know how to get all the firmware info on the Uconnect 8.4 model?
CarPlay still not working... WTF.
