The block drains are easy to get at on the cars, lol.
If you're trying to clean the overflow,it's easier to remove the airbox and undo the two 10mm bolts that hold it in place and then disconnect the 2 hoses to it,that way you can take it inside and flush it out in the kitchen sink with hot water.

Lol, I did this ... and it worked getting the crud and residue out!

rmi 25 dub, check overflow at 100 miles after and then again 500 miles. Run heater a lot during this period. If you have a decent reason to travel at least 75 miles find one with that new ride. Get at least one good trip on it. Your overflow should trap contamination. You need to siphon or pump it out.

coolant has no detergents, it is amazing how well one works when introduced. This thing was radiator shops secret forever, truly fixes them for many issues.

I'm going to put this on my near future list for a final flush and refill to make absolutely sure I've gotten the "dirty crud" out ...

... the car is low mileage(10,500 miles)and it's amazing that this wasn't dealt with from the selling dealer with their "extreme multi point vehicle inspection" ... a CRJD Stealership at that, sad.

I'd actually add the RMI before the final flush J,that way whatever it loosens up,should come out on the final flush

Interesting post.

My recently purchased low mileage 2023 5.7 Liter Dodge Challenger's coolant had what is described in this post "filthy dirty looking" anti freeze in the radiator coolant over flow/recovery tank(the Challenger/Charger/Chrysler 300 cars do not have an radiator set up like the RAM trucks that have a traditional radiator with the cap and a recovery tank) ... my suspicion is exactly what is described in this post.

I took my car back to the dealer and they(service writers/mechanics)didn't have a clue what it could be, nevertheless, I had them flush out everything(three hours wait, lol) and refill with clean coolant ... no good.

I ended up buying four gallons of MOPAR OAT coolant and performed my own flush to remove what is probably casting sand that wasn't cleaned out from the factory ... sad ... again, the car(s)set up is different that the RAM truck and is a little bit more involved.

It's also sad that my local CRJD couldn't resolve my issue, let alone know what it could possibly be ...
my apologies, no pics taken ... I was more concerned just getting that crap out. It's a crying shame that the money these "Stellantis" vehicles, cost the company can't or doesn't have good quality control ... again, that's sad.
That is crazy scary.

Did you find alot of crud in there? Looks like I'm gonna have to take a crack at the block drains on my next go, as well as rmi-25 a bit in advance.

Yep, my method of draining/adding MOPAR 50/50 coolant to only the fill/over flow tank is a slow go, but I'm getting results of getting the crud out.

Now that I finally found a YouTube video on how to perform an flush and fill on the '23 Challenger R/T, I'm going to do a full flush and refill, I'm concerned with about the previous maintenance from the original owner. It has low mileage(currently at 11,000 miles, I've added 500 miles since January, 2).

The oil(unknown brand or type) and oil filter(MOPAR)looks good ... I'll be focusing on changing the oil/filter soon.

Special tool? Made one for GM peacock but the Ram I used an 8 or 10 mm Allen socket
The cars are a bit differant, and aren't easy to get at,like the trucks are.
If you'd have read a bit farther back, you'd see we're referring to J's new Challenger. :waytogo:

I missed the car part, but I’m familiar with making a special tool
