Just got mine today and I'm not exactly a mechanic and messing with my own truck intimidates me. This looks straight forward simply attach the lines in no particular order and mount with the z bar correct

Also the extra brass fitting looks like it connected near the throttle body tube in the picture?

I really was super easy, the instructions show it all. take off the intake tube, engine cover, and then the PVC real simple. The instructions say the long hose in the rear and short with the brass fitting up front the hose just pushes on the brass fitting with no problems. From there attach to can but cut the hose if you need to, I did to clean it up, but it all fits under the hemi cover. There is a brass fitting for the front part that comes with the kit, and a 13mm bolt to attach to the engine head on passenger side. Took less than 20 minutes to do. Give it a shot, and if you need to ask questions let me know, I will help out how I can.

Looks great Joe. You will definitely appreciate the catch can the first time you unscrew that cap.

Looks good, hope to get mine on this weekend. Eventually I'll get around to ordering a throttle body too.

How often do you need to drain the catch can? How much do you drain out at each interval? I'm new to the rams so I'm kind of looking for my first set of mods. Looks like catch can, 87mm, and what is the vari ram? Kind of a ram air / cold air intake? Any issues with snow snow ingestion in the colder climates?

Most people empty their catch cans at each oil change interval. The Vararam intake is the only true ram air intake available for the 09-up. There have been a few guys that had some of the very fine snow make it up by the filter in extreme snowy conditions, but never enough to cause any problems. The motor will burn up the small amount of water that may get to the filter if that snow melts on the filter tray. My advice to the northern guys is to just pop the hood and wipe away any light snow that may get up there after driving in those extreme conditions. We have many Canadian customers running this kit, and have never had anyone report any real problem with the intake.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm in nw Ohio so it doesn't sound like an issue for me. We do travel to the Upper peninsula of Michigan sometimes though. Grocery list of recommendations? I'm kind of concerned doing too much without a reputable programmer available for the oh 13's yet....

My apologies to the op for the thread highjack BTW.

My first suggestion would be talk with Matt from Moe's performance, he is the one who answered all my questions. According to the catch can instructions they say check often the can and your oil levels until you get familiar with it, but on several threads seems like most are looking at 1000 miles and seems to be quarter full.
I have the 85mm throttle body and love it! I will put the vararam on this weekend when it comes in. Matt said that with the throttle body and vararam it will be a nice improvement. The vararam is a force air intake system that pull air in from in front of the radiator. I went with the vararam because S&B hadn't made their kit for the 2500 yet. That is the toss up vararam or S&B from my readings. I like the look of the design- old school look. there seems to no issues with snow or rain with the vararam, unless you are swamping it. These are easy bolt ons and will not void warranties from what I see on the threads. Hope this helps, hope you add on and Matt is the man to talk to. Good luck. Joe

After 500 miles now @ 5300. If this doesn't tell you to get one, I don't know what to say...

NASTY. These are worth their weight in gold. I know it is hard to justify at times, but once you empty that can for the first time, it is very clear how necessary they are.

When I installed mine, I took the liberty of removing the TB and I reached into the intake manifold a ways with a rag, and it came back oily. Not bad, but bad enough when you think about it (I got about 30k km's). So glad I decided to purchase this part!!
