Put a Toyota truck up on Jack stands? That's getting to be a big time thing here in the northeast too. Know of one guy who had his cut out twice while he was out hunting. Thinking about setting an ambush with a few friends and catch these scumbags.
I would not want to be stuck in Lodi, NJ, up in Bergen County, but maybe a different Lodi, there gotta be more than 1, LMAO.
For sure. Plus with owning a business you have to be selective on what you claim on your insurance as your rates will forever go up. Everyone looses because of these POS thieves.Yes correct, he will get reimbursed but needs to get the fleet back on the road so needs to pay as insurance is slow to pay.
Aren't truck Cats worth more? I think they are bigger. I could be wrong. It probably has more to do with engine size than vehicle size.Maybe everyone needs to do a 5/7 drop on their trucks instead of lifting them.
Make it too hard to crawl under, which is probably why they're not targeting cars.
Similar on the pentastars. The CC's are basically bolted to the cylinder heads since the pentastars don't have exhaust manifolds, so they're tucked way up high. I haven't heard of those being stolen. The cats on my Charger with a Hemi are only about 8" and come right off the manifolds. They're more in the engine bay than under the car.
With a pickup you will need the Bed Monkey version.Or we could look into the trunk monkey from those commercials.![]()
The ***** of it is; you’d go to jail. But, of course, not them. That's just awful. Man I bet you'd like to get your hands on the scumbags and bang their puny little heads!
That cheap is probably the guy that stole yours selling it back to you.If needed, generic cats can be purchased for ~$100 -300 each.
I used to go to Lodi, Paramus or Ridgewood. Now in PA (Wayne Cty) there are no inspection stations, just gas stations selling you the world & if you refuse you still pay. No emissions in this county though.Maybe times have changed. I was living in NJ when they got rid of safety inspections. They never looked on my 4" lifted Jeep with 35" rock crawling tires that stuck out 4"-6" from the fenders (I had tube fenders in the front). I went to the Lodi inspection facility, all I did was drive up to the facility, they looked for a check engine light, if none, then plugged into the ODBII port and I was on my way.
My jeep set every red flag, lifted 4" suspension 1.25" body lift, 5" greater tire size than OEM (30"), full roll cage, 5 point harness with aftermarket suspension seats (still had the factory 3 point), HID headlights, and shorty front bumper that didn't cover any part of the tires. I used to pay to get it inspected, until they got rid of safety, then I went back to the Lodi station and for the next 3 years (until I moved to NY) they never even looked under the jeep.
The jeep I'm talking about:

They also check for cats by driving your vehicle over a camera in the floor ….I thought NJ got rid of that kind of inspection? Don't they just plug into the ODBII port and verify there are no codes and that's it? (just to comply with federal emissions standards for highway funding). So if you were able to fool the computer and not have an emission code, I assumed you would be fine.
Unless they brought it back, and I missed it.
Ya think? I'm sure he's not the only one.... Hold on, I'm gonna check to see if my cats are still installed.... Yup, still there! That's just awful. Man I bet you'd like to get your hands on the scumbags and bang their puny little heads!
