Anyone else have this? Anytime I hit a bump it sounds like birds chirping. My truck only has 400 miles on it. Do I let it break in first or take it to the dealership? Could it be serious?

Thanks!

I had this on an old 94' Dakota. The dealer ended up shimming the bed and that did it. It must had a rub somewhere and the shim(s) took care of that. It went on to be a great little truck.

Definitely take it to the dealership. But first, try to get a video with clear sound of the chirp. If you do a Google search you will find others with similar issues. Some of been body mounts while others were brakes. I swear I read something about a TSB for cab mounts... But I couldn't find the post again.

Suggest to the dealership that you are willing to drive the tech around so he can hear the sound first hand.

Had this on my 2019 limited
At about 4k miles
Dealer lubed front pins on calipers..came back again at 6k
Dealer replaced calipers,rotors,pads at 11k
Now at 20k it’s starting to return ... it’s annoying but I’ll live with it

Same sound hitting potholes in my 19 Big Horn and 20 Longhorn. Figured it's the bushings or bump stops squeaking haha it's always something

If either of you do end up addressing this concern further with your local Ram dealers, we are always a private message away and more than willing to escalate cases on your behalf for further support.

Did you figure out the chirp/squeak? I have a 2019 Longhorn and have a squeak somewhere near the gas tank. It's driving me crazy.

If it’s a 5th gen 4x4 water runs down and sits on the upper strut bolts and rusts them out. Take some grease or spray lube and put it on the bolt through the hole on top of the strut tower to see if the birds leave the nest

Also, here is a YouTube video that shows a noisy cab mount. Just for information purposes.

Welcome to owning a Ram. I have a brand new 2020 with a chirpy vibrating noise coming from just left of my steering wheel every time I hit bumps. Dreading having to take it to the dealership and them taking apart my headliner and causing more issues. I've had the truck for 10 months and still can't figure it out.

I've tried to look under there tons of times trying to isolate the issue, but there's so many wires and stuff going on there I don't know where to start.
