Cluster Swap

My cluster was recently swapped under warranty. Evidently RAM uses a certified refurbished. That said, I think my new cluster is different, possibly from a Limited/Laramie. I don’t recall chrome bezels around the dials or the needles being so vibrantly orange.

Any idea to know if it’s legitimately an upgrade or not? Tell tale signs?

The Laramie, Laramie Limited and Longhorn clusters all have completely different dial faces. It would be hard not to clearly see the difference between the three of them. All three of them have chrome rings around the dials. The Laramie, Bighorn and SLT when equipped all use the same premium 7" cluster.This is assuming your truck is a 4th gen.

That’s a standard one since it just says RAM on the badge.

Looks to be out of any bighorn/lonestar or lesser submodel with the premium gauge cluster. I've got a LoneStar and it's identical to mine

You can, if memory serves me right it's in the settings on the radio menu. Maybe it got defaulted to off when they changed the cluster?

Dude, you’re a rock star. In addition to the cluster swap I had a fuel pressure sensor replaced. The check engine light locked out the MDS and when the cluster was swapped the ECO light display was turned off.

Cheers to you, saved me a trip to the dealer for something stupid.
