Did you know that Nitto tires are made by Toyo?
I'm running Nitto Terra Grappler G2's 35-12.5/20's on my 2500 4x4

Blue Mule

Yes I did. I liked the Toyo better.

OP..just curious as to why you're going with an offroad tread design if you dont do any offroading? If cost is a factor, you will likely be replacing them sooner than an all terrain.

go with a made in the US tire that's also a little easier on the wallet.

Thank you. Nittos are fine tires, and so are Coopers but if there is a choice, I'll always choose American. We all have jobs here (well most of us) and buying here helps to keep us all bringing home a paycheck. Just my two cents..

Well....maybe I was mistaken but it was my understanding that the ST Maxx was an all terrain tire? Here is what I'm looking at

Ridge grapplers and st Maxx are hybrids. I'm running ridge grapplers and lost at least 1.5 mpg and don't see them lasting much over 30k miles. These are on a 3/4 ton being rotated every 2500 miles.

I appreciate all of the replies and info. I think I'm gonna give the Cooper ST Maxx a shot in the 35*12.50r20 variety and load range F (12ply). The reviews seem to be down the middle so I'm gonna go with a made in the US tire that's also a little easier on the wallet.
In case you weren't aware toyo has a huge plant just outside of Atlanta Georgia.
https://www.moderntiredealer.com/news/734866/toyo-continues-to-expand-production-in-georgia it's their biggest plant globally. Over 11 million tires a year.

When I complain about the Firestones at work to my boss, he tells me to look into the Coopers. He had run them for years. Up in AK and here in WY. He goes hunting all over and absolutely recommends them. They will be on my look at list when I finally get to get new tires. The only thing here is that I have to have the mountain/snowflake certified. I havent done any research into that aspect yet. CO allows you to use the tires withe the certification in place of chains.

I swapped my Goodyear SRA's out for Cooper AT3 4S as they do have the snowflake rating. They look great, ride quiet and just a bit harsher than the Goodyears but they are amazing in rain or dry traction. I have only driven it once during an ice storm and the odd flurry since I had them installed so I do not have allot of winter experience with the Coopers. I will say in rain the SRA's were definitely slippery. The Coppers not a slip or blip of TC.

Once snowmobile season gets into full swing I will be able to give a winter assessment while towing.

So far I'm very happy with the Cooper AT3 4S tires.

I have the Cooper ST Maxx in 285/75R16 on my Chevy 2500HD they're pretty good tires. They have about 15,000 miles on them & wore down about 4/32" so I'm hoping to get about 50,000 miles out of them. They do excellent off road and good in deep snow but not the best on ice but ok. Just make sure and look at the tire pressure charts for the correct psi for your application I run 45 psi all around. They do have tire squirm when new but that goes away after 500 to 1000 miles. With that said I'm going with Cooper AT3 XLT on my RAM 1500 I don't need that aggressive of tire on that truck, no off roading.

$350 for 35’s? Damn
You could run 37’s for that price and actually less, but with 17 wheels.

Walmart has Falken MTs in that size for $250 , sure not Cooper or Nitto but $1000 for 4 :) and MT tires do look good in trucks.

I have the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I loved them until recently. They did great at first, but now that I have around 15,000 miles on them they are horrible in wet conditions! I now drive overly cautious in wet conditions as I do not trust the tires. Everyone seems to love the Ridge Grapplers and always hear good things about them, and that's one of the reasons I bought them. But I will not buy them again... it's a lot of money to spend to get tires I only like for 10,000 to 12,000 miles. So now I'm looking at new tires, just not sure what... open to suggestions lol.

I have them also and wet and ice is what I have been worried about after the sipes have worn off. I have thought about buying a siping tool and opening them up every winter. I'm just running them as my hunting tire in the winter anyway.

Not sure that would help....

Well crap they don't look any more worn than mine do at 4k miles

Yeah they almost look new, but they sure in the hell don't grip like when they were new. I would say it was around 10,000 miles I started to noticed a difference in the wet weather, and it just keeps getting worse. Not happy at all. Hope you have better luck with them.
