I am going to by a catch can because you guys make it sound as good as :party52: Just need to figure out which I like best with braided lines. I like the black BP for the money but rubber hoses not so much. I like the BT with the lines, but keep clicking options it keeps getting up there. Thoughts?

Do I need a 180 thermostat and if so why?

The braided lines aren't worth the money IMO...especially with your Vararam covering most of the catch can anyways. As for quality, you wont find a nicer unit than what Billet Tech has to offer. They were the originals, and everyone else tried to match their design, but were not able to match their quality.

I dont mean to thread hi-jack but I had a couple quick questions about the catch can as well. I did the homebrew Lowes oil-air separator install to save some coin to use on other mods. Its definitely working as there is already quite a bit in there however the line going back into the the throttle body does still have a tiny bit of film in it. Its not nearly the level of buildup that I had with the factory tube but shouldnt it be entirely clean?

With the Billet Tech can is there a similar probability of a little blow through or is it just so much better than the homebrew option that the throttle body side would be squeaky clean?

The Billet Tech can wont have any excess getting by. That is what the mesh screen is for inside the can. The oil collects on the mesh screen, then drips to the bottom of the can. I installed 1 of our ported throttle bodies on a customers truck yesterday that had 55k miles on it. He has had a Billet Tech catch can installed since having only 5 miles on the truck, and his stock throttle body looked brand new on the inside. I was very impressed.

T-stat just runs engine cooler, by opening earlier. However will make your heater run colder in the winter so might have to change back then.

If you're putting a lot of load on the engine or running lots of mods, then by all means change. If not, save your pennies.

Thanks for the info, that's one off my list for now then - :Caffeine:
