Hey y'all.

So for starters, I have been doing research for hours and I can't find what I'm looking for so if I missed it please just send me that way!

So I currently have the 2.5" puck level on my 15 ram 1500. I am looking to get bilsteins. My question is this. Is it possible to combine the two.

Now that I have said that, I know you can combine it if you do not raise the bilsteins at all.

What I have in mind is raising the bilsteins to the 2.1" under the leveling kit. I am aware that it will destroy the geometry of the suspensions. Here is where the fun part starts.

I am looking to see if it is possible with some custom work. Is it possible to buy aftermarket parts to compensate. Like if I were to get a new UCA, some extensions, and I am not sure what else would be needed, but my question is, is it possible (like I said I am aware it is not by simply throwing the two together)if I put in the money and the effort. Also can someone help me gather a list of parts I would need.

not really a custom lift, more of a frankenlift. Why not just get a 4" lift with bilsteins.

Sure bilsteins can be added to spacer lifts while being set at stock hight but that is about it. I dont think even uniball UCAs would like that angle very much. The CV shaft angle would also be a problem. So you would need a custom set of those which is $2300-3000

not worth it when you can spend 1200-1400 on a 4" lift.

As kg93 stated above, that's not a custom lift.. it's really an attempt to pull together parts that you could just buy in a lift kit for less money.

The upper A-arms are not the item that need to be changed when doing a proper lift. That won't correct the geometry of the front suspension. You would just be trying to eliminate the ball joint popping out which is just one piece of the puzzle. What is really needed is longer steering knuckles with lower A-arm drop brackets to correct the geometry properly. That will keep the A-arms closer to level which is where they need to be for good suspension operation and to be able to align the front end properly.
The next issue that needs to be addressed is the front differential. That much lift without dropping the front diff will put the CV shaft angles too steep. This can lead to a number of issues such as wobbling in 4wd, the CV shafts binding up, or simply breaking.

At the end of the day it would cost you much more money, time, and headaches trying to pull something like that together and make it work than it would if you just bought a proper 4" lift with Bilsteins. A Zone 4" lift isn't huge money for what you're getting.

Ok. I honestly am still trying to learn suspension and I didn't know what I would need/how much it would cost. I appreciate the input guys!

Also, if the issue is cost only you can just add a body lift.

Dude, you just bought a 2015 truck. Dont hack job it when their are proven inexpensive lifts on the market. Save up and do it right.
