So my new truck came with a factory pos bedliner. After removing it because all it does is nothing but hold water under it after a washing. It has scratched the bed rail behind the rear window and dealership wont fix it. Even though i have to take my truck in for a paint touch up. Im at point to where im just going to save my money for a custom paint job later *** the dealers. On top of that they want to tell me when to bring my truck it like forcing it on me when to bring it they need to work me i thought. Just venting lol Love the rams HATE there service POS.

So you're mad at the dealership because you scratched your truck taking out your bedliner and they won't fix it?

I'm guessing the front rail of the box got scratched from the plastic junk liner rubbing it.

Well, sorry to hear you have a crappy dealership. Good thing to know, though. Save you headache, down teh line. It is the bed of your truck, it will get scratched. Chiill out. SPray some LIne-X if you wish.

It is a truck, it will get scratched, dinged, dented and other bad things too. COuld be worse, could be your daughter, a postively perfect little Angel, but someday, some boy . . .

scratch on teh truck bed? Not that big a deal.

The Tacomas have a plastic bed. I guess that's the only bed that's NOT as tough as an aluminum Ford..........

Actually those Tacoma composite beds are pretty tough. My neighbor runs a landscape business and has about 5 of them. He flogs them pretty good and other than scratches they are holding up pretty well.

Get the bed sprayed with Line-X, you can even get it sprayed in a tinted color to match most truck colors. That would be a lot more functional in the long run and also a lot cheaper then a custom paint job.

My work truck is 8 years old has the plastic Bedliner and hasn't had any bad effects on the bed itself. Also I like the plastic bedliner bc it acts as a cushion for the bed. My bro has a 2016 2500 with the spray in Bedliner and his bed is already dented and the liner itself is coming off. If you do heavy duty work then a plastic Bedliner is better

Literally the day after I bought my new truck, I scratched the bed loading 20 storm windows. Now almost 2 years later the bed has many, many more scratches and several dents as well. It's a truck...

I once had a coworker who owned a pickup. He never hauled anything in the bed, but a pair of sneakers. He came out of store one day and found someone had thrown a couple empty soda cans in the bed. Man he was pissed.

Trucks get scratched, BFD! Unless you use your truck like a dude with a manbun, grow a pair and get over it.

I was just venting to yall no hurt feelings. The dealership is what pissed me off and the scratches in the bed is not the problem its outside the bed. Dealer already has to repaint my bed due to factory paint defects and my roof i am just super ocd and its black. My first new truck. But the problem was the pressure the dealer was putting on me to tell me to bring my truck when they want and not what is not convenient to me being there a hour drive away. Anyways what i meant by a custom paint job was not just inside the bed the whole outside. Idk just felt no respect from the dealer at all and they wouldnt work with me. Finally was debating to even get it fixed are leave it how it is. Factory paint warranty is 3 years.

More likely the stealership scratched the bed and put in the factory shell to hide it.

Back in the 90's the place I worked for sold a semi load of those bed liners every month (300-350), they used to come back for other work and I'd look under them, man what a mess, some of those beds where shiny steel from one end to the other, can't imagine the rust damage that occurred after a few years of salt in Omaha.
Never would I put one of those in any vehicle I owned.

Take a walk next time. Nobody likes someone who complains and only 24 hours later they say they were just venting.

He stated he was venting in the last sentence of his original post.

This is actually a good thing, now you have an excuse to properly Line-X the bed. That's a WAY better thing to do than re-painting it
