Well I am confused. He said he had Quad lights. I took that to mean he had the stock quad lights, the same as I have and which is why I posted what I did. The headights in your post are not stock and of course extra wiring is needed. I thought he was going to use the stock quads.
Sometimes following along with a conversation goes back multiple posts and spans multiple threads.
I usually try to be detailed when it comes to mentioning something that's specific to a particular mod, like in my original post stating my Alpharex headlights have separate DRLs. The reference to having Quads is that Projector headlight trucks already have the dedicated DRL circuits.

@CAG CheechDogg I followed the instructions in the Known Working List found in the first post of the AlfaOBD thread to set up the DRLs with the option in the 8.4 radio to turn them On/Off

I already have the option for it on my radio to turn them off and on ... What I would like to know is how do you connect the pigtail/leads that M2 will be providing me with to the headlights? Are they spliced in, connected with a bullet connector?

I used bullet connectors on mine. The Alpharex headlights had bullet connectors on the DRL wires already but I think they're a metric size. I replaced those with standard size ones.

This is the tool you want. I added the DRL option and installed switchback LED Boards in the head lights so I can run 6000 color temp white turn signals as my DLRs and they change to amber when you put on a turn signal. I also set several other options with the OBD like seatbelt chime off, LED third brake light and tail light options when I upgraded those. There is a thread on U-Tube by Big Daddy that walks you through a bunch of OBD codes you could use. Relatively easy to follow for an average at home slightly tech savvy user.

I have a 2018 2500. It took almost a year asking my dealer to turn them on. Canadian trucks are turn on from the factory but Ram does not turn them on for American trucks. The dealer finally turned them on for no charge.

Got a question on the daytime running lights for a ram 1500 2018 year. Why has ram elected not to include this in the classic 1500 series. What’s the easiest way to accomplish adding daytime running lights to this vehicle period. I have seen some YouTube videos were it can be done with the Alpha 0BD programmer. Anyone have any experience with this. Thanks for any feedback

Did this last month on my 2020 Tradesman Quad cab...easy job with AlfaOBD.

I set up my high beams as DRL and also set the target voltage.
If you decide to use Alfa on your 2018 make sure you have the Security Gateway bypass harness...
